An exercise machine includes a first housing, a central electromagnetic resistance unit, a resistance mechanical interface, and a mechanical expansion portion. The resistance mechanical interface includes a spool and a cable configured to provide a force from the central electromagnetic resistance unit in response to a control interface that receives commands from an exercise actuator. The cable extends out from a first side of the first housing. The mechanical expansion port is configured to link the first housing to a second housing via a mechanical attachment. The mechanical expansion port is located at a second side of the first housing. The second side of the first housing is adjacent to the first side of the first housing.

Modular exercise machine

Commands are received from an exercise actuator via a control interface. Collaborative information about an exercise session is received via a software interface. A force from a central electromagnetic resistance unit is provided in response to the control interface and the software interface via a resistance mechanical interface.

A request is received for a higher torque from a torque controller than is possible from a power supply. The torque controller is coupled to a motor and the power supply, and the motor is coupled to an actuator. The actuator ultimately establishes resistance for a user in an exercise. An energy storage device is discharged to the motor in order to generate the higher torque, wherein the energy storage device is indirectly coupled to the torque controller.

Methods and Systems for providing multiple audio streams, such as a Game Audio stream and Network Chat audio stream, to a headset of a user of a game console are described. The methods and systems include receiving, by a game console controller in communication with a game console and a portable audio mixing module, Network Chat from a game console; receiving, by a portable audio mixing module in communication with a game console controller, Network Chat; receiving, by a base station in communication with the game console and the portable audio mixing module, the Game Audio; receiving, by the portable audio mixing module, the Game Audio; mixing, by the portable audio mixing module, the Network Chat and Game Audio to produce a blended audio output stream; and transmitting, by the portable audio mixing module, the blended audio output stream to a headset in communication with the portable audio mixing module.

Wireless game/audio system and method

Methods and systems for providing multiple audio streams, such as a game audio stream and network chat audio stream, to a headset of a user of a gaming device are described. An exemplary system may include a gaming device having a port and that is adapted to transmit game audio and network chat to a transceiver inserted into the port thereof. The transceiver may be configured to receive local user chat. The system may also include a transceiver inserted into the port of the gaming device, the transceiver adapted to receive the game audio and the network chat transmitted from the gaming device, transmit the received game audio and network chat to a wireless headset, receive local user chat from the wireless headset, and transmit the received local user chat to the gaming device. In certain embodiments, the system may include at least one wireless headset wirelessly connected to the transceiver, the headset including a microphone and being adapted to receive the game audio and network chat from the transceiver, receive local user chat from the microphone, and transmit the local user chat wirelessly to the transceiver.
