A computer aided design can be decomposed into multiple domains or regions in a domain decomposition method, and then one or more finite element method boundary conditions at an interface between the domains can be imprinted on the faces of the domains at the interface, and then mesh generation can be performed independently on the domains. Thus, nonconformal domain decomposition can use the imprinting of the boundary conditions to improve the results of the independent mesh generation.

Systems and methods are described for providing adjustable simulation of electric and magnetic fields of a system. Data is received that is indicative one or more parameters of an object in a three dimensional space. A first system of differential equations is to determine electric and magnetic field values are stored at a plurality of points of the three dimensional space and storing electric and magnetic field values in the computational mesh data structure. A second system of differential equations is solved to determine sensitivities of the determined electric and magnetic fields to changes in a first parameter of the object at points in the three dimensional space. Updated electric and magnetic field values are determined based on a user entered adjustment, the electric and magnetic field values in the computational mesh, and the sensitivities without re-solving the first system of differential equations or the second system of differential equations.

Systems and methods for providing field tuning simulation of a physical system

Systems and methods are provided for generating a mesh assembly. A specification of a system having first and second objects is received. The specification includes, for each of the first and second objects, geometric data for the object and mesh data comprising settings for creating a mesh representation of the object. The first object is associated with a first mesh, and the second object is associated with a second mesh. The associating includes, for each of the first and second objects, determining whether a mesh with geometric data and mesh data corresponding to that of the object has been previously generated. If the mesh has been previously generated, the object is associated with the mesh, and if the mesh has not been previously generated, the object is meshed to generate a new mesh that is associated with the object. A mesh assembly including the first and second meshes is generated.
