A pinch valve having a clamping member () mounted between two side walls () of a valve housing, the side walls extending parallel to a hose guide axis and to a plunger guide axis. Each of the side walls has a step () extending parallel to the hose guide axis and recessing with respect to the advancing direction of the plunger. The clamping jaws () of the pinch valve, upon displacement of the clamping member (), move over the steps () with their outer sides, which face away from the hose guide, bearing against the side walls ().

A method is provided for measuring parameters of state of a fluid contained in a container (') that has a sensor carrier plate with plural sensors (S-S, S&#x2032;-S&#x2032;). Each sensor has a sensor head in operative contact with the interior of the container (&#x2032;) and in operative contact with an external control unit (). The external control unit () receives measurement data generated by the sensor heads of active sensors via their communication link and processes the data. An activation data record (&#x2032;) is assigned to each sensor (S-S, S&#x2032;-S&#x2032;) and is recorded in a manner that is accessible for the external control unit (). The external control unit () first accesses the activation data records (&#x2032;), then classifies the sensors (S-S, S&#x2032;-S&#x2032;) as activatable or nonactivatable sensors, and subsequently activates only those sensors classified as activatable sensors.

A method for configuring a clean room () for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products and the manufacture of pharmaceutical products includes the steps: selecting a pharmaceutical product for the manufacture in the clean room (); determining one or a plurality of specific devices () and/or one or a plurality of specific materials () for the manufacture of the selected pharmaceutical product; and assigning locations for the particular, respectively specific devices () and/or specific materials () in the clean room () and, that is, by using a navigation system (). A mixing vessel for accommodating components to be mixed has a container with at least one mounting depression in a side wall of the container. The mounting depression is adapted so that a mixing impeller housing of a mixing impeller is at least partly insertable, in which at least one magnet is housed for being magnetically connectable to a drive device to be driven. A locking assembly is attachable to the mounting depression from outside for locking the mixing impeller in a storage position, in which the mixing impeller is not rotatable. The locking assembly has a magnetically active element that is adapted to interact with the magnet of the mixing impeller.

A method is provided for measuring status parameters of a fluid contained in a container (). The container () is configured for single use and has a wall on which a sensor-carrier plate is fixed in a fluid-tight manner. The plate carries sensors (S-S) that are in operative contact with the internal chamber of the container () and connected for data exchange () with an external control unit () that receives and processes the measurement data from the sensors (S-S). The sensor plate also carries a temporarily inactive duplicate (D-D) of at least one of the sensors (S-S) that is activated if measurement data of the sensor (S-S) is classified as atypical in the context of an integrity or plausibility test carried out by the external control unit ().

A presterilizable filtration system is provided and is to be disposed of after a single use. The system has a recirculation tank and a filtration module that are connected to each other in a circuit via a hose system that can be regulated by at least one valve. The valve has a disposable separate valve part that can be integrated in the hose system and a reusable actuator.

A system for receiving a single-use vessel containing a mixing device has a support structure adapted to receive the single-use vessel and a drive-unit adapted to power, to control, or to power and control a mixing of contents of the single-use vessel when the single-use vessel is arranged in the support structure. The support structure and the drive-unit are provided as separate components that may be arranged both in an operating position, where the drive-unit is connectable to the mixing device of the single-use bag in the support structure, and in a separated position, where the drive-unit is separated from the support structure. The drive-unit comprises a tag reader that, in the operating position, is arranged to read a vessel tag of the single-use vessel arranged in the support structure.

A mixing impeller has first and second subassemblies. A magnet is accommodated in the first subassembly and is adapted to be magnetically coupled to a drive device to be driven. The second subassembly has at least one impeller blade for mixing components when rotating the mixing impeller. The first and second subassemblies are formed as separate entities which are selectively engageable. A method of manufacturing the first subassembly and a method of assembling the mixing impeller also are provided.

A bioreactor arrangement has a bioreactor and an illuminating body for illuminating a medium in a reactor interior. The illuminating body has at least one emission surface via which light, reflected by at least one end surface into the reactor interior, is emitted. The bioreactor is formed as a container having a transparent wall. The illuminating body is outside the reactor interior, next to at least one subregion of the transparent wall. The illuminating body forms a support surface for the bioreactor with its emission surface. A shaking device has a reactor holder that can be in oscillated, for a bioreactor with a transparent wall. The reactor holder has a two-dimensional illuminating body, the emission surface of which forms a support surface for the bioreactor, via which light can be reflected into the reactor interior of the bioreactor.
