The invention relates to a milk conveyer device () for an animal. The milk conveyer device is to be implemented in a milking arrangement which comprises a milk storage reservoir () coupled to a milking attachment for attaching to an animal to be milked through a main milk conduit (). A sample element () extracts milk, which is collected in a sample reservoir (). The sample reservoir () is connected to an analysis element () through an analysis conduit (). During the flow of the milk from the sample reservoir to the analysis element (), the milk itself provides a cleaning effect. The flow is initially at a high flow rate and later at a reduced flow rate. A plurality of analysis conduits () are connected to the analysis element (), which comprises a selector unit (), which couples milk from one of the analysis conduits () to the analysis element (). The device provides a self-cleaning effect and a low carry-over of milk between two successive milking operations, i.e. between the milk of two different animals.

Milk conveyer device

The present invention relates to a method for automatic separation of foremilk and/or milk not suitable for consumption from the milk line system of a milking plant and an apparatus for carrying out said method. A separating device ( ) is arranged at the ends of a milk line ( ) and a test milk line ( ), said milk lines being parallel. The separating device is designed with a damper means ( ) attached to a cup ( ). When milk is fed through the outlet ( ), the cup ( ) is filled up and its weight pivots the separating device from a first position, in which the inlet to a milk line ( ) is closed by means of the damper mean, to a second position, in which the milk in cup is poured into a test milk line ( ) and the damper means is lifted off the inlet ( ) to the milk line ( ).

Method and an apparatus for separation of foremilk

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recognizing and determining the position of a part of an animal. The apparatus comprises a source of structured light for illuminating a region expected to contain at least one of the part in such a way that an object illuminated by the light will have at least one illuminated area with a very distinct outline in at least one direction, an image capture and processor device arranged to capture and process the at least one image formed by the light and a control device to determine if the illuminated object is the part by comparing the image of the illuminated object to reference criteria defining different objects, and if the illuminated object is established to be the part of the animal, the position thereof is established, and animal related device and a device to guide the animal related device towards position of the part are provided.

A device for transmitting data from a movable unit such from a domestic animal contains a conventional passive transponder unit (1) which is coupled to an antenna (3). The transponder (1) comprises means (23) for storing electrical energy comprised in electrical voltage pulses received on the antenna (3) and can by means of the stored energy transmit on the antenna (3) pulse sequences carrying information such as identification data for the device. Further, in the device a permanent electrical current source such as a lithium battery (9) is provided, which powers a processor (7). The processor (7) receives signals from a motion sensor (15) and is coupled to a transmitter (11) having an antenna (13) and can activate the transmitter (11) for transmitting radio signals having a good range, when the motion detector (15) signals an increased activity, such as for a non-milking cow during the estrus period.
