Surface dryers having uniform exit velocity profiles, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. Surface dryers in accordance with certain embodiments include a housing, a gas driver positioned in the housing, an inlet aperture formed in the housing and positioned upstream of the gas driver, and a nozzle carried by the housing and positioned downstream of the gas driver. The nozzle can have an indentation forming a convergent portion positioned to accelerate the flow of air and a divergent portion positioned to decelerate the flow of air.

Dehumidifiers with improved airflow and fluid management features are disclosed herein. A dehumidifier configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a housing, a moisture removal component, and an airflow director. The housing at least partially defines an airflow path extending therethrough. The moisture removal component is positioned within the housing along a portion of the airflow path, and the airflow path enters the moisture removal component in a first direction. The airflow director adjacent to the moisture removal component extends in a plane that is generally parallel to the first direction.

Dehumidifiers with improved fluid management and associated methods of use and manufacture

Systems and methods of automatically operating dehumidifiers in response to dehumidifier operating conditions are disclosed herein. A method of operating a dehumidifier configured in accordance with one embodiment includes directing air flow through the dehumidifier at a first volumetric flow rate while the dehumidifier is operating at a first operating condition. The method further includes changing the first volumetric flow rate to a second volumetric flow rate when the first operating condition of the dehumidifier changes to a predetermined second operating condition.

A blower system comprising a housing and a fan assembly. The housing defines a housing chamber, at least one inlet opening, a primary outlet opening, and a secondary outlet opening. The fan assembly is mounted within the housing chamber. Operation of the fan assembly draws air into the housing chamber through the at least one inlet opening and forces air out of the housing chamber through at least one of the primary outlet opening and the secondary outlet opening.
