Various embodiments of the present invention provide alcohol monitoring devices, and methods for using such. As one example, an alcohol monitoring device is disclosed that includes a device body, an alcohol sensor, and a liquid cartridge. The alcohol sensor is associated with the device body, and relies on a liquid supply to perform an alcohol measurement on a subject. The liquid cartridge is replaceably coupled to the device body and provides the liquid supply to the alcohol sensor.

An apparatus suitable for retaining an electronic component such as a flash memory card within a socket attached to a system motherboard. The apparatus includes a housing that defines an aperture or slot suitably sized for receiving a distal end of the component and at least one arm extending from a first surface of the housing. A distal end of the arm receives a structural element of the system frame. Displacement of the apparatus housing relative to the structural element is restricted when the electronic component is received within the housing and the structural element is received within the receiving structure. The receiving structure may include an upper tab and a lower tab suitably displaced from one another to engage a sheet metal element of the data processing system frame. The arms may comprise a flexible material wherein application of a compressive force on the two arms disengages the tabs from the structural element.

A method and implementing computer system enclosure is provided which includes a selectively removable base support unit which is designed to stabilize vertical mounting capabilities when the base unit is attached to the enclosure and to allow horizontal mounting of the electronics enclosure when the base unit is detached. The electronics enclosure includes a locking edge on one of its sides. The locking edge is selectively engageable with a base support unit to provide a wide footprint for stable mounting of the electronics enclosure on the side of the enclosure which has the base unit attached. In an exemplary embodiment, the locking edge is tapered to force a tight fit between the enclosure and the support base unit. A locking mechanism is also operable at one end of the support base unit-electronics enclosure interface to provide a positive stop to lock the enclosure in place relative to the support base unit.

A computer has an internal chassis with four wall-like frame members located at its rectangular perimeter. A variety of electronic components are mounted to the chassis within the rectangular perimeter. A bezel is mounted to an outer portion of one of the frame members and forms an exterior rear panel of the computer. The chassis is sidably mounted within an integral, five-sided enclosure having a rectangular opening at its rearward end. The enclosure closely receives the chassis to eliminate relative movement therebetween. The bezel has an integral handle with a pair of tabs which engage recesses in the enclosure when the chassis is in the enclosure. The chassis is removed from the enclosure by lifting the handle on the bezel such that the tabs disengage the recesses in the enclosure to allow the chassis to slide out of the enclosure.

Quick-release computer chassis

A computer has an internal chassis with a variety of electronic components. The chassis is mounted within an enclosure having a ventilation port for exhaust air on a lower surface. A diffuser is mounted to the lower end of the enclosure. The diffuser has a series of openings and baffles which align with the ventilation port for directing the flow of exhaust air away from either side of the computer. The diffuser also allows for full containment of hot or flaming parts to satisfy safety codes. In addition, a pedestal is detachably coupled to the diffuser and is configured to enhance the air flow performance of the diffuser.

A sheet stacking duplex tray includes a movable finger which separates a first group of sheets under the finger from a second group of sheets above the finger. Sheets which have been copied on only one side are fed to a copy station from the bottom of the tray for second-side copying, as other sheets which have been copied on only one side are fed to the tray, to reside on top of the finger. When all sheets of the first group have been fed, the finger gravity-falls through an opening in the tray. A detector senses this finger movement, and a solenoid then resets the finger to rest on the top sheet of the sheets then in the tray.
