The dipstick fuel squeegee of the present invention includes an elongated, rigid but lightweight base with foot pegs on either end and is long enough to span the opening of most large tanks. The base has a midsection into which first a wiper member and then a securing member are releasably attached. There are openings in the midsection, the wiper member, and the securing member which are vertically aligned. The openings of the midsection and the securing member are approximately equal in size while the opening in the wiper element is smaller. The wiper element is made of a flexible, resilient material and substantially centered over the opening in the seat. During use, a dipstick is inserted through the three openings of the squeegee, the user secures the squeegee by standing on the foot pegs, and the wiper member dislodges any liquid adhering to the dipstick as the user raises it through the squeegee.

Convertible fuel squeegee

Fuel squeegee

A tunnel boring machine having increased thrust capability is disclosed. The machine includes a rotatable cutter head for cutting material away from the face of the tunnel and a drive shaft and motor for rotating the cutter head in a cutting state of operation. A bearing assembly is also provided for facilitating rotation of the cutter head during the cutting state of operation. Thrust cylinders are also provided for generating forward thrust. The machine also includes first and second structures for defining a fluid pressurizable cavity between the cutter head and the thrust cylinders which transmit forward thrust to the cutter head when the cavity is sufficiently pressurized. In addition, the machine includes a pressurizing system for pressurizing the cavity.

Tunnel boring machine and method

An analog-to-digital converter for converting simultaneously a plurality of analog signals into their digital equivalence. The analog-to-digital converter is comprised of a ramp generator, a digital counter, control means, a plurality of output buffers and a plurality of analog comparators. The control unit maintains the digital counter and ramp generator in a fixed relationship such that the analog-to-digital converter automatically compensates for variations in the counter and/or ramp generator operations. The control means maintains the time correspondence of a full scale digital count within the digital counter with a full scale analog value of the ramp output generated by the ramp generator. The control unit resets the digital counter to zero upon the occurrence of a designated zero analog value of the ramp output such that the time between the analog zero value and the analog full scale value will correspond to a constant number of counts of the counter.

Multiple channel analog-to-digital converter with automatic calibration

An ignition system for use with an ignition coil and a source of alternating distributor pickup signals within an internal combustion engine. The system includes a zero crossing detector responsive to the distributor pickup signals and operative to generate a first timing signal, a complex ramp generator responsive to the first timing signal and operative to generate a second timing signal, a gate responsive to the first and second timing signals and operative to generate a constant ignition coil control signal over the normal operating range of the engine, and an output amplifier responsive to the control signal and operative to control charging and discharging of the ignition coil. A voltage control circuit is employed to switch the output amplifier on when the voltage at the ignition coil exceeds a predetermined value.
