A method and apparatus for treating bagged materials. A bagging machine is equipped with feed tubes that feed a conduit through a bag filling tunnel of the machine and through the open end of the bag and into the bag. The conduit is perforated and when the bag is filled, the length of the conduits is extended out through the bag end to be connected to a treatment media, e.g., forced air. An opening is provided at the rear end to provide an exhaust opening for air that is forced into the conduit, out the perforations and through the bagged material. The air will dry the material to lower the moisture content or provide oxygen as may be desired to enhance decomposition. Water may also be introduced as desired.

Method for treatment of bagged organic materials

A rotor for a bagging machine used to force feed material, e.g., silage, for compaction in a tunnel of the machine prior to insertion of the material into a large storage bag. The rotor includes teeth sets closely spaced along the length of the rotor and each teeth set including at least three circumferentially spaced teeth. Preferably the teeth of each teeth set are intregal with a support or base ring that slidably fits en elongate pipe or tube and position axially in circumferentially as desired and then weld tacked to the pipe.

Compacting rotor for bagging machines

A combination including, preferably, alternate tunnel extensions for a bagging machine, the extensions alternately fitted to a primary tunnel with quick-release fasteners. One of the extensions for filling a determined bag size and the other extension for filling a larger size bag. A bag support provided on the other extension for increasing the dimensional support for the bag to accommodate the larger bag size.

A feed table can be used to convey agricultural material into a bagging machine. The feed table can be removed from the bagging machine so that the feed table can be separately transported. The feed table includes an attachment mechanism to detachably couple the feed table to the bagging machine, a mobility support mechanism to at least partially support the feed table when the feed table is not attached to the bagging machine, and a tow mechanism to detachably couple the feed table to a towing vehicle.

A bag filling machine having a tunnel and a bag fitted to the tunnel for transferring material compacted in the tunnel and in the compacted state, into the bag. The tunnel is composed of a bottom portion and alternating top portions that are alternatively and selectively secured to the bottom portion. Said top portion defining a portion of the circumferential rear end opening and having different circumferential end portions that adapt the tunnel to different bag sizes.

A system for compacting organic material such as silage and inserting compacted material into an elongate plastic bag. A feed table delivers material to a rotor that propels and compacts material into an inlet of a tunnel. A proportional valve controlling the hydraulic motor of the feed table controls the rate of which the feed table delivers material. A speed sensor senses the speed of the rotor and transmits a signal to the control unit connected to the proportional valve of the feed table. Overfeeding of material to the rotor results in a reduction of the rotor speed. Such reduction is sensed and the feed table delivery rate adjusted accordingly to optimize filling of the bag.

Bagging machine having feed control

A bag filling process and machine wherein material to be bagged is force fed into a tunnel from an end and wherein the material is compacted and fed through the tunnel and out the opposite end which opens into a bag surrounding the tunnel. To avoid compacting and filling of the bag from the bottom up, a ramp in the bottom of the tunnel directs the flow of material to a mid-height position to promote compacting and filling of the bag from the mid-point position both downwardly and upwardly from the ramp end.

Materials bagging machine

A bagging machine for bagging material in an elongate bag. An anchor connected to a cable extends from the machine and resides in the material being placed in the bag. The anchor may be extended different distances from the machine to provide a varying restricting force to restrict the movement of the machine away from the bag being filled. Powered reels are provided to reel in cable or play out cable to vary the distance between the anchor and machine.

Bagging machine

A method and device for providing a compost bagging machine with perforated conduit. A perforating mechanism is mounted at an inlet to a guide tube that directs conduit into the bag of the bagging machine. Three or more wheels, each of which have at least one piercing blade are freely rotatably mounted on a base plate at the entry of the guide tube. As the conduit is fed through the perforating mechanism, the conduit will rotatably drive the wheels and the piercing blades will produce openings in the conduit.

Method and device for providing compost bagging machine with perforated

A machine for compacting organic material such as silage and inserting the compacted material into an elongate elastic bag. A rotor positioned at an inlet of a tunnel propels and compacts the material. A barrier positioned in the tunnel strategic to the rotor restricts the flow of material directly into the bag. The barrier forces the material to flow through the barrier and upwardly over the barrier to insure complete filling of the bag. The barrier may be immovable or may be arranged to be pivoted to alter the resistance to the material flow.

Device and method for compacting agricultural material in a storage bag

A machine arranged to insert material to be composted into an elongate elastic bag. The machine is arranged to insert an elongate perforated pipe into the elongate elastic bag with the material. The perforated pipe is fed from an air tight container through a conduit into the bag. The machine may have an expander mechanism to enlarge the opening of the elastic bag with the expanding mechanism defining a tunnel through which the material will be forced into the bag. A reciprocating plunger movable within a channel or hopper forces the material into the elongate bag. The machine is arranged so that the composting process may commence when there is material available to only partially fill the bag. When a bag is filled partially, the plunger is moved to a position at the entry of the tunnel to seal the open end of the bag and a media may be applied to dispense the media into the material via the perforated pipe to commence the composting process. The operation of the machine may be controlled remotely such as by a transmitter. Power for operating the mechanism of the machine may be provided by a motor mounted on the machine or from a tractor.

Materials bagger and system

A machine for inserting baled material into an elongate elastic sheath. The machine has a moveable upper frame for enlarging the opening through which the bales will travel as they are inserted into the sheath. An elastic sheath is mounted on and surrounds radially moveable paddles and an end of a cradle. The paddles are moved radially outward to enlarge the opening of the sheath and thereby stretch the sheath. The cradle receives the bales to be inserted into a sheath and has a bale pusher for pushing the bales into the sheath. The bale pusher has ram extensions that are pivoted into a position to extend the reach of the pusher to facilitate inserting the last bale into the elastic sheath and through the machine. The machine is portable and has wheels that are mounted in one position for the bagging operation and are mounted in another position for transporting the machine. Adjustment mechanism is provided for adjusting the wheels in the bagging position to adjust for ground clearance to minimize the drop off distance for the bales as they enter the sheath and are deposited on the ground. Bale pushers are mounted to the upper frame for aligning an upper tier of stacked bales that may be skewed relative to a bottom tier.

Square bale bagger

A machine for sheathing bales of material, such as farm crop products and/or organic material, into an elongate elastic bag. The machine is a portable unit and has radially adjustable fin like paddles that define a bale receiving opening. An opened ended bag into which the bales are to be sheathed is placed in a folded or bunched up condition on the paddles. A portion of the bag is pulled off the paddles and tied to define a closed end and the paddles are moved radially outward to enlarge the bale receiving opening and thereby stretch the bag. The machine has a cradle for receiving bales to be sheathed, and a bale pusher pushes the bale along the cradle through the bale receiving opening into the bag. The cradle is arranged to accommodate bales having either a circular or rectangular cross section. The bale pusher has a low profile to facilitate loading bales onto the cradle from the front and either side of the machine. The pusher is extendable to facilitate pushing the last bale through the machine. The bales as they exit the machine and are deposited on the ground are encased in the bag. The bag being elastic conforms closely to the shape of the bale. The machine may be powered by a self contained power unit or from a remote power source. A remote control power unit and remote control permit operating the machine unattended from a remote source.

Bale bagging machine

A bagger for organic material that incorporates gates that are yieldably biased to restrict the movement of the material into the bag until the material has been compacted. The gates are mounted at each side of a tunnel adjacent a material propelling rotor of the bagger. The rotor propels and compacts the material against the gates and when the force is sufficient the gates will yieldably open to permit material to flow into and deploy a portion of the bag on the ground. The arrangement of the gates reduces the force applied to the bag and thus limits the force urging the bagger to move away from the bag deposited on the ground.

Bagger for organic material

A replaceable cap for a rotor tine of a material bagging machine. The tines extend from the rotor and propel and compress the material to be bagged. The cap fits over the leading edge of the tine to provide a replaceable wear surface. The cap has an end that engages a notch provided in the tine and is secured to the tine by a single fastener. The single fastener facilitates rapid replacement of the cap when required.
