A horizontally-disposed fascia, a longitudinally-extending gutter having a bottom member, and a plurality of support members for suspending the gutter so the bottom member of the gutter forms an angle with the horizontal plane. The gutter is disposed between the fascia and a building wall so the fascia-gutter of the present invention appears to be horizontally-oriented, while the gutter is angled to drain rainwater.

Fascia-gutter system

A fascia for use at the juncture of a building wall and a roof deck comprising a fascia member, a cant member, a flashing member, at least one clip, and a screw disposed through the clip for adjusting the position of each clip relative to the flashing member. Adjustably positioning the clip away from the flashing member positions the top portion of the flashing member toward the top horizonal segment of the fascia member and presses the bottom portion of the flashing member against the roofing material disposed on the second panel of the cant member. This provides structural strength to the fascia and improves the weather resistant characteristics of the fascia.

Fascia

An elastomeric, longitudinally continuous, elongate gasket for an expansion joint cover is described. The gasket has, in cross section, a central body portion and two side portions, one at each edge of the central body portion. The central body portion has horizontal top and bottom walls. The top wall may have a flat upper surface, and includes a series of regularly spaced, longitudinal regions having alternately greater and lesser resistance to lateral compressive forces. The bottom wall, which need not have a completely flat lower surface, includes a similar series of regularly spaced, longitudinal regions, with regions of lesser resistance on one wall being disposed vertically opposite regions of greater resistance on the other wall. Internal walls joining stronger regions of the top and bottom walls form a series of alternating diagonal struts which tend to reinforce and enhance the stability of the upper wall. The gasket may also include a longitudinal channel formed in the bottom wall for a spline, the insertion of which provides further reinforcement for the gasket. The side portions of the gasket are provided for attaching the gasket to structural members of the joint.

Flat expansion joint gasket

A device for sealing the joint between adjacent structural members such as concrete slabs in bridges, parking decks, and the like, and for absorbing thermal expansion and contraction of the adjacent structural members. The compression seal employs a cross-sectional configuration comprising a square center cell within a square outer seal structure to provide an advantageous movement rating while minimizing vertical elongation of the seal during compression. As lateral compressive forces are exerted on the vertical sides of the outer square by thermal expansion of the adjacent structural members, the seal collapses in a controlled manner, the square center cell redirecting lateral compressive forces to support the upper and lower seal walls. Thus, the upper wall of the seal provides a substantially planar pedestrian treadway even as the seal is compressed.

Compression seal

Elastomeric glands are disclosed provided with a laterally central chevron wall member which is carried in the gland, rearwardly to narrow and forwardly to widen, by front and back pairs of connecting wall means of the gland which apply thrust against the chevron wall member from relatively movable bodies during the rearward carry, and relieve thrust against the chevron wall member from the relatively movable bodies during the forward carry, under conditions of opposite lateral ends of the gland being supported relatively to move with the bodies and the gland being inside a movement tolerance space between the bodies. Gland and mount systems involving use of the elastomeric glands, and mounts for accommodating elastomeric glands such as of the character indicated and provided with anchors are also disclosed.

Gland and mount system and components thereof

A unitary extruded plaster screed expansion joint for use in cast wall construction. The expansion joint includes a front wall and a first pair of opposing side walls extending rearwardly from the outer edges of the front wall. A second pair of opposing side walls extends rearwardly and outwardly from the rear edges of the first pair of opposing side walls. A pair of planar flanges extends laterally from the rearmost edges of the second pair of opposing side walls, and an inwardly and rearwardly arched wall connects the second pair of opposing side walls. The expansion joint is attached to a support surface, and plaster slabs are formed in place on the support surface adjacent to the expansion strip. The front wall is attached to the side walls of the expansion strip in such a manner as to prevent plaster residue from accumulating at the junctures therebetween, so that when the front wall is stripped away from the expansion joint, no plaster residue remains. As the adjacent plaster slabs expand, the forces brought to bear on the side walls cause the arched interior wall to deform; but since the arched wall is disposed rearwardly and outwardly of the first pair of opposing side walls, the joint is capable of complete closure until the first pair of side walls touch one another. Since the design of the joint affords a greater range of motion, fewer expansion joints can be used to accommodate the same amount of expansion; or, in the alternative, the same number of separators can be used but with narrower joints.

Expansion joint for plaster walls

Panel systems and installations thereof are provided wherein laterally opposite flanges of panel and flange means in the system form a gap with one another, and those flanges are adapted to be anchored to sub-structure, such as of a building, with the anchor means used for that purpose leading within the gap between the flanges and into grooves in the flanges which widen the gap locally between the flanges. Outer lateral ends of the anchored flanges are covered by cover means which engages engagable means of the panel and flange means.
