Applications are optimized using source code patterns and performance analysis. Patterns of inefficiently coded statements are stored, and source code that includes program statements are identified. The program statements are compared with the patterns to identify program statements that are inefficiently coded. An execution of a compiled version of the source code is monitored to identify program statements that cause performance issues The identified program statements that are inefficiently coded are compared with the identified program statements that cause performance issues to determine program statements that are inefficiently coded and cause performance issues.

Optimizing applications using source code patterns and performance analysis

Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for policy protected cryptographic Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that are deployed in secure memory. One embodiment is a method of software execution. The method includes executing an application in a first secure memory partition; formatting a request to comply with a pre-defined secure communication protocol; transmitting the request from the application to a cryptographic application programming interface (API) of the application, the API being in a second secure memory partition that is separate and secure from the first secure memory partition; and verifying, in the second secure memory partition, that the request complies with a security policy before executing the request.

Policy based cryptographic application programming interface in secure memory

A system and method are described supporting secure implementations of 3DES and other strong cryptographic algorithms. A secure key block having control, key, and hash fields safely stores or transmits keys in insecure or hostile environments. The control field provides attribute information such as the manner of using a key, the algorithm to be implemented, the mode of use, and the exportability of the key. A hash algorithm is applied across the key and control for generating a hash field that cryptographically ties the control and key fields together. Improved security is provided because tampering with any portion of the key block results in an invalid key block. The work factor associated with any manner of attack is sufficient to maintain a high level of security consistent with the large keys and strong cryptographic algorithms supported.

Method and system for secure storage, transmission and control of cryptographic keys

In one embodiment a secure computer system comprises a processor and a memory module including logic instructions stored on a computer readable medium which. When executed by the processor, the logic instructions configure the processor to receive, in a secure computing environment, a portion of a data log from an application operating outside the secure computing environment, and when the portion of the data log exceeds a size threshold, to assign a timestamp to the portion of the data log, assign an identifier to the portion of the data log, create a digital signature load block comprising the portion of the data log, the timestamp, and the identifier, and store the digital signature load block in a memory module.

A method and system for modifying program applications of a legacy computer system to directly output data as XML using a DOM instance, models the legacy computer system, maps the model to an XML schema and automatically modifies one or more applications to directly output XML formatted data from an internally constructed DOM instance in cooperation with a writer engine. The writer engine allows for an arbitrary number of contexts to be simultaneously active and builds a complete DOM instance by using the multiple contexts to buffer output data. The writer engine directly loads XML schema information to construct and output DOM instances in accordance with the schema and subject to further transformation by XSLT stylesheets.

Method and system for reporting XML data based on precomputed context and a document object model

A method and system for modifying program applications of a legacy computer system to directly output data in XML format models the legacy computer system, maps the model to an XML schema and automatically modifies one or more applications to directly output XML formatted data in cooperation with a writer engine and a context table. A modeling engine lists the incidents within the applications that write data and generates a report data model. The report data model includes statically determined value or type of the data fields and is written in a formal grammar that describes how the write operations are combined. A modification specification is created to define modifications to the legacy computer system applications that relate applications that write data to the XML schema. A code generation engine then applies the modification specification to the applications to write modified applications that, in cooperation with a writer engine and context table, directly output XML formatted data from the legacy computer system without a need for transforming the data.

Method and system for applying XML schema

A method and apparatus provides cryptographic parameters for use in cryptographic applications in response to requests therefor. The method includes the steps of: pre-computing one or more different types of sets of cryptographic parameters, each the type of set being adapted for use by an associated type of cryptographic application; securely storing the pre-computed sets of cryptographic parameters in a memory storage unit; receiving a request for a set of cryptographic parameters having specified characteristics for use in a particular cryptographic application; determining one of the sets of cryptographic parameters stored in the memory storage unit that has specified characteristics; accessing the determined set of cryptographic parameters from the memory storage unit; and providing the determined set of cryptographic parameters with minimal latency.
