Methods, processes, compositions and systems for preventing leaching effects from water pipes (such as lead, steel and copper) having an inner diameter of at least approximately 12 mm. 2-part thermoset resin coating is applied to the inner surfaces of the pipes where the curing agent can be a phenol free and plasticizer free adduct type. The coating can reduce heavy metals, such as lead, from leaching from installed pipes to less than approximately 10 &#x3bc;g/L (10 ppb). When cured, specific leachates, Bisphenol A and Epichlorohydrin from the coatings will be (less than) &#x3c;1 &#x3bc;g/L (1 ppb) with overall TOC levels measured at (less than) &#x3c;2.5 mg/L (2.5 ppm). Pipes can be returned to service within approximately 24 hours, and preferably within approximately 4 hours. The methods, processes, compositions and systems can work with non-metallic pipes having metal valves and/or metal fittings.

The method can include the steps of generating pressurized gas into pipes to generate a moving air stream, intermittently injecting separate spaced apart bursts of abrasive particles into the moving air stream with different cumulative amounts of the intermittent bursts of the abrasive particles that vary based on different piping diameters, cleaning interior wall surfaces of the pipes with the intermittent bursts of the particles, reducing at least one of burrs or interior lips in the interior wall surfaces of the pipes, with the intermittent bursts of the particles and removing abrasive particles and debris caused by each one of the separate burst shots of the abrasive particles.

Devices, apparatus, systems and methods of using a portable heater that does not use a separate compressor or blower or vacuum. The heater can be attached to a piping system to dry interior walls and/or heat coatings in the piping system. The heater can be attached to a manifold having alternative inlet end and two outlet ends. The manifold ends can have quick connect fittings with similar fittings to be easily mateably attached by rotating fittings with one another. A quick connect/disconnect air pressure regulator with quick connect fitting can be attached to the manifold ends. A quick connect/disconnect plug with similar quick connect fitting can close the manifold ends.
