A freeze resistant manifold includes a plurality of conduits, junction, and expansion device. Each conduit of the plurality of conduits includes a respective first end in fluid communication with a respective second end. The junction is defined by each of the respective first ends of the plurality of conduits in direct fluid communication with a remainder of the first ends of the plurality of conduits. The expansion device includes a housing, plug, and linear actuator. The housing has a first housing end and a second housing end. The first housing end is in fluid communication with the junction. The plug is disposed between the first housing end and the second housing end. The plug has a substantially fluid-tight, sliding engagement with an inner wall of the housing. The linear actuator is to urge the plug towards the first housing end with a predetermined amount of force. The plug is held proximal to the first housing end by the linear actuator in response to a fluid pressure in the junction being less than a predetermined normal working pressure. The plug is moved towards the second end in response to the fluid pressure in the junction exceeding the predetermined normal working pressure.

Freeze resistant manifold assembly and system

A system and method of disinfecting and sanitizing potable water on an aircraft. An ozone generator generates a supply of ozone which is fed into an injector. A pump is connected to a water supply line and an end of an injector. Water flows from the water supply line through the pump and into the injector where the water and the supply of ozone mix to disinfect the water.

A surface-mounted fuselage skin appliqu&#xe9; panel having an aperture to a reference static air input port is rugged, replaceable, and independently calibratable. The static port skin appliqu&#xe9; generally conforms to the fuselage surface, and is held in place either with adhesive or with a mounting frame. The appliqu&#xe9; size enables airflow in the vicinity of the static port to be substantially uniform. Because the appliqu&#xe9; is not part of the fuselage structure, distorting stress loads are avoided. The appliqu&#xe9; material resists scratches and bumps that can distort flow. A static port skin appliqu&#xe9; and its mounting provisions can be made using a range of materials, and can receive finishes to meet user preferences.

Static port skin applique apparatus and method

Reciprocating or push-pull control cable assemblies have fittings permanently attached, preferable by swaging or other mechanical deformation process, to the ends of a control cable or core that reciprocates within an outer casing. The fittings have a projected width no greater than the inner diameter of the casing. As a result, the entire control cable, with fittings attached, can be pulled through the casing to remove the control cable for inspection, maintenance or replacement. The cable also have a unique combination of ball joint assemblies and excluder seals that effectively exclude contaminants from the interior of the casing.
