A method and system for processing a production stream containing a substantial amount of sand for continuously separating and disposing of the sand by re-injecting the sand into a subterranean formation. The production stream is flowed through a separator (e.g. hydrocyclone) which separates the sand from the stream. The sand is continuously discharged from the separator into an accumulator which, in turn, feeds the sand into an eductor in which, to form a slurry. The slurry is then re-injected into a subterranean formation, thereby continuously disposing of the sand.

Method and system for separating and disposing of solids from produced

A method and apparatus for removing solids from a substantially horizontal section of a wellbore which allows the use of coiled tubing as a workstring without requiring the removal of the production tubing from the wellbore. Guide tubing, which is left in the wellbore, extends from the surface through the horizontal section and is adapted to guide a string of slightly smaller-diameter, coiled tubing through the horizontal section. Wash fluid, e.g. water, flows through a nozzle on the coiled tubing and out through openings in the guide tubing directly into the solids to form a slurry therewith. The slurry is then pumped out of the wellbore through the production tubing and/or reenters the guide tubing through other opening(s) therein to flow to the surface through the annulus which exists between the coiled tubing and the guide tubing.

Method and apparatus for washing a horizontal wellbore with coiled tubing

According to the present invention, the production of petroleum from a petroleum-bearing subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore is accomplished by (a) fracturing the subterranean formation and injecting a conductive proppant into the fracture, the conductive proppant comprising particles which are at least partially coated with a heat hardenable, conductive resin to create a fluidly and electrically conductive fracture in the formation; (b) passing an electrical current into the formation through the wellbore to heat the formation and harden the conductive resin thereby at least partially aggregating the particles and retaining the particles in the fracture and heating the fracture and the subterranean formation in the vicinity of the fracture.
