A latch assembly having a first portion coupled with a second portion. The first portion has a roller housing, a latch panel, and handle, and the second portion has a respective roller housing, and a respective latch panel. In a closed position, the latch panel engages with the respective roller housing, and the respective latch panel engages with the roller housing.

A filter assembly that includes a main body having a bore therein forming an inner surface, the inner surface configured with a receptacle. There is a filter medium disposed at least partially in the receptacle, the filter medium having a plurality of winding. An at least one of the plurality of windings separated by a clearance to an adjacent winding.

A powered unit with a reeving system for supporting a load associated with operation of the powered unit. The reeving system has a first cylinder with a first rod movingly disposed therein. A combination unit having an extendable trough to raise a tubular to a rig floor height. There is a raising leg connected with a trough assembly, and a following leg movingly coupled with an end of the trough assembly. The unit is configured to move a power swivel or other miscellaneous tools and equipment to the rig floor without winches or cables.

A multi-purpose shock absorber for a vehicle suspension having an absorber body with an outer surface, and a movable piston having a first end disposed within the absorber body and a second end configured to couple with a part of the vehicle. There is a magnet assembly disposed around and external of the movable piston at the second end. The absorber has a sensor assembly having a sensor body coupled with the outer surface. An inner sensor body has a sensor disposed therein configured to detect a linear change in a position of the magnet assembly.

A powered unit with a reeving system for supporting a load associated with operation of the powered unit, the reeving system having a first cylinder with a first cylinder end coupled with a raising leg of the powered unit, and a second cylinder end having a first rod movingly disposed therein. There is a movable sheave spreader engaged with the first rod, and having a first spreader sheave, the movable sheave spreader also movably engaged with the powered unit.

A top drive system comprising a drilling rig, and a top drive unit operatively associated with the drilling rig. The top drive includes a top drive housing, and a rotatable member having a first member portion within the top drive housing, and a second member portion extending outward from the top drive housing. There is a sensor assembly disposed within the top drive housing, the assembly comprising a sensor configured to provide an output signal associated with an at least one parameter of the top drive. The first member portion is configured with a profile sensed by the sensor assembly.

A combination tubular handler and power swivel unit having an extendable trough to raise a tubular to a rig floor height. A raising leg connected with the trough assembly. A following leg movingly coupled with an end of the trough assembly. This handler is configured to move the power swivel and other miscellaneous tools and equipment to the rig floor without winches or cables. A hydraulic swivel rack allows parking the swivel out of the way in a storage location when not in use.

A raising leg is connected with the trough assembly through an easily installed height adjustment pin which requires no dangerous pinning. A following leg is pivotably coupled with an end of the trough assembly. A hydraulic swivel rack allows parking the swivel out of the way in a storage location when not in use.

A combination hydraulic pipe handler and power swivel for providing services normally requiring two machines, two hydraulic systems, two engines, two spaces at a rig site, and two costs to the user. Now only one machine is required. The combination hydraulic pipe handler and power swivel can pick up tubulars, present tubulars safely to the rig floor at an adjustable angle, and provide a tilting power swivel which tilts to the same adjustable angle allowing the rig operator to threadably engage tubulars and lift the tubulars to vertical. Tailing of tubulars with a rope and manpower is not required, thus the operation is much safer than normal.

A top drive or a power swivel with a high pressure washpipe and seal assembly receives high pressure drilling fluid from a mud pump and provides high pressure drilling fluid to the drilling fluid side of a dual fluid reservoir. A separating piston in the dual fluid reservoir moves toward the oil side as hydraulic oil is used for lubrication. This dual fluid reservoir with separating piston provides hydraulic oil at drilling mud pressure as required by the set of unique high pressure seals which are continuously lubricated and which generate minimal heat.

A dual control hydraulic circuit for a tilting power swivel having a main hydraulic pump providing an operational supply of hydraulic fluid causing a clockwise or counter clockwise rotation of the tilting power swivel. A hydraulic cylinder used to hydraulically power an angular change between a bail and a body, wherein a local control valve can enable extension and retraction of a rod of the hydraulic cylinder. An auxiliary hydraulic pump providing hydraulic fluid at a low pressure, a hydraulic reservoir fluidly connected to the main hydraulic pump and the auxiliary hydraulic pump, an engine connected to the main hydraulic pump, and a hydraulic fluid return line from a local control valve to the hydraulic reservoir used for dual control for operating the hydraulic cylinder to tilt the tilting power swivel and a remote control connected to the local control valve for controlling the local control valve.
