An elliptical reel is provided. The elliptical reel can include one or more longitudinal support members about a longitudinal axis of the reel and on which hose can be wound for transport. A cross section of the longitudinal support members that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis defines an outline that has an elliptical shape.

A system and method for the deployment of a conduit system to convey fluids from a marine vessel to an offshore rig are provided. In one embodiment, the disclosure provides a conduit connected to a marine vessel, the conduit comprising: a plurality of sections of tubing; a plurality of flexible joints connecting the sections of tubing; and a buoyancy device at least partially surrounding at least one of the sections of tubing and having a density less than the density of seawater.

The fluid end has a main chamber and a suction bore in fluid connection with the main chamber and the suction bore has a suction central axis vector. A portion of the suction central axis vector is vertically higher than any portion of the discharge central axis vector. A method of providing a wellbore servicing fluid to a wellbore is also disclosed. A method of providing a wellbore servicing fluid to a fluid end of a positive displacement pump is also disclosed.

An integrated control system, specifically transportable on water between offshore wells, includes mixing and blending subsystems, a pumping subsystem, a proppant subsystem and a control subsystem for controlling the other subsystems in a unified manner from a common control location.

An integrated blending system comprises a mixing subsystem and a particulate material conveying subsystem which introduce materials into a blender subsystem for producing a blend which is pumped into a well through a pumping subsystem.
