An authentication risk management system and method are disclose which may comprise a biometric identification unit configured to sense biometric data from a user and produce an image of the sensed biometric data with a stored template associated with the user; and a biometric identification unit natural identification evaluation engine configured to provide a natural identification authentication score. The system and method may further comprise a credentials quality assessment engine ('CQAE') configured to receive the natural identification authentication score and to provide a CQAE authentication score based one of the natural ID score and a combination of the natural ID score and a received computed authentication score. The CQAE may comprise at least a part of a user authentication profile engine.

Credential quality assessment engine systems and methods

A system and method is disclosed for comparing biometric image data to a stored enrollment template that may comprise collecting a set of biometric image data for a biometric object image from a biometric object imaging sensor; storing the biometric object image data in a memory as an enrollment template for further comparison to find a match with subsequently imaged biometric object image data; collecting a subsequent set of biometric image data for a biometric object image from the biometric object imaging sensor; updating the enrollment template; determining if a limited enrollment window remains open; and repeating the collecting of a subsequent set of biometric data step if the enrollment window remains open. Determining if the enrollment window remains open may be by determining the existence of one of a stability indicator and an instability indicator.

Method of and system for enrolling and matching biometric data

A user transaction request is received at a client device. A web browser plug-in communicates the user transaction request to a server that determines whether the user transaction request is a secure transaction. Transaction data is received from the server via the web browser plug-in. If the received transaction data indicates a secure transaction, the user is prompted to provide biometric data, which is received from the user. The web browser plug-in then communicates a transaction confirmation to the server.

Secure transaction systems and methods

An apparatus includes a biometric sensor capable of identifying biometric information associated with a user. A storage device coupled to the biometric sensor stores user information. A biometric service is coupled to the biometric sensor and capable of communicating with the biometric sensor. A web browser application having a biometric extension communicates with the biometric sensor via the biometric service. The web browser's biometric extension is capable of communicating with multiple web servers.
