A belt has a compression section, a tension section, and a load carrying section disposed between the compression section and the tension section. The belt has an elastomeric/thermoplastic material, the elastomeric/thermoplastic material has 50 to 90 parts per hundred of an elastomer and 10 to 50 parts per hundred thermoplastic.

Power transmission belts

A power transmission belt has a compression section, a tension section, and a load carrying section. The load carrying section has a plurality of reinforcing cords. The reinforcing cords are formed from poly(p-phenylene-2,6-benzobisoxazole) (PBO). In each reinforcing cord, the cords have a yarn twist greater than the cord twist, and the cord twist is in the range of one-forth to one-half of a ply twist.

Power transmission belt

The present invention is directed to an endless power transmission belt having an elastomeric body and at least one treated textile fabric, the treated textile fabric including a first treatment including a polyamide and an epoxy; and optionally, a second treatment including an RFL adhesive.

Method of making a reinforcing fabric for power transmission belts

A reinforcing fabric comprises reinforcing warp cords and weft cords that melt at a temperature of 200.degree. to 300.degree. F. The weft cords hold the warp cords in position relative to one another when the fabric is being calendered and placed in an elastomeric composite, but melt at the normal curing temperature of an elastomer to form domains of polymer in the cured composite. The reinforcing fabric has particular use as reinforcement in V-belts.

Reinforcement fabric ply and composite

A static conductive document transport belt for use in electrostatic copiers, photosensitive copiers, and paper collating devices. The composite belt is made from an ethylene-propylene copolymer or terpolymer rubber with an electrically conductive inner layer containing conductive carbon black and an outer layer which is light reflective.
