A mobile, real-time system for delivering an aerosol spray to a treatment area while maintaining the fluid within a closed environment for providing maximum personal protection to the operators handling the fluid during the transfer and application of the fluid. The invention includes a spraying device for producing a precise degree of liquid droplet generation on a repeatable basis by combining a specified rate of regulated flow of liquid material with a regulated flow of high-pressure air. The delivery system includes a closed loop system for calibrating a liquid pump, which regulates the flow of liquid within the system. A controller is coupled to the components of the delivery system for control thereof. The operator of the delivery system communicates with the controller through a user interface, which provides the operator with manual and automatic controls of the delivery system, such as the closed environment calibration of the pump and transfer of fluid from an external source to the delivery system.

Ultra low volume chemical delivery system and method

A hazardous fluid transfer system is automated for controlling transfer of hazardous fluid within a closed environment thus providing protection to an operator handling the transfer. The hazardous fluid is transferred from a source container to a target container using a processor controlled pump responsive to flow and pressure within a liquid line. A pre-programmed processor receives pressure and flow signals from transducers monitoring the liquid line. The processor actuates a valve within a vapor line between the source and target containers in response to pressure within the target container. The valve is opened for allowing vapor to accumulate within an accumulator during a filling of the target container and closed for causing the accumulator to force vapor stored in the accumulator into the source container, thus transferring the liquid from the source container to the target container while maintaining fluid transfer within the closed environment.

Hazardous fluids transfer system and method

A mobile, real-time, closed-loop system for delivering an aerosol spray to a treatment area during a treatment period of time employs a prime mover having a spray nozzle through which an air volume is produced in order to entrain a liquid as particles in an airstream passing out of the nozzle. A particle size detector, weather centers and an electronic controller are used to regulate the amount of insecticide and particle size dependent upon speed of the prime mover and weather conditions at the treatment area.

Spray delivery system

A chemical distribution control and guidance system operates for controlling the distribution of airborne product via an aircraft passing over a target. A weather station is positioned at various altitudes for use in determining an appropriate aircraft altitude for distributing the chemical to the target. A second weather station positioned near the target transmits weather data in real time to a central communications station and the aircraft for providing guidance in accurately, safely and effectively distributing chemicals onto the target.

Aerial chemical application and control method

The system includes the transfer of the fluid to storage tanks intermediate the source and target tanks between the transfer is desired. A pre-programmed processor receiving pressure, weights, and connection signals from transducers, such as pressure sensors and load cells, located throughout the system controls the operation of pumps and valves to allow the fluid being transferred to remain within a closed environment.

The system includes a weather station carried by a helium balloon positioned at aircraft altitude which communicates with a ground weather station positioned at or near the target field for transmitting weather data in real time to a central communications station and the aircraft for providing guidance in accurately, safely and effectively distributing chemicals onto the target field.

Chemical application and flight guidance control system and method

A process for mixing an insecticide formulation with an injector system that uses water to mix, dilute and dispense the insecticide. An injector system that includes a water dilutable formulation, a means of mixing or agitating the concentrated formulation, a water source, an injector for the purpose of diluting and mixing the formulation with water at pre-selected ratios, and a means for delivering the mixed and diluted formulation to application equipment used to reduce populations of insects, pests or other nuisance organisms of public health importance. A water dilutable formulation, an injector system and a process are combined in the present invention to provide an optional means of recirculating the insecticide concentrate in its container, drawing concentrate insecticide from the container and diluting and mixing it with water at selected concentrations which are calculated to meet the insecticide label application stipulations, and dispensing the correctly mixed solution directly into the application equipment (either aircraft, truck mounted or portable) selected for use. End-users then spray this mixture to mitigate infestations.
