This disclosure relates to an automotive glass display. An example vehicle includes a projector configured to project light, and a glass panel including a first layer of glass, a second layer of glass, a first layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), and a second layer of material. The first layer of PVB is configured to diffuse light from the projector, and the second layer of material is configured to reduce glare. Other example glass panel arrangements are also disclosed.

Automotive glass display

A vehicle windshield assembly including a glass layer, a first layer, and a second layer is disclosed. The glass layer has inner and outer surfaces. The first layer contacts the inner surface of the glass layer, and defines voids in the first layer in a shape of a design. The second layer contacts the first layer and occupies the voids. The first and second layers have a color contrast to enhance visibility of the design.

A laminated window is disclosed having a window heater unit which is connected to an external source of electrical power by means of an electrically conductive strip. At least a part of each of the electrically conductive strips is bonded on all sides to one or more laminating interlayer interposed between and bonding together two panes of glass. The bonding of the laminating interlayer to the electrically conductive strips during manufacture of the laminated window produces a water impervious seal between the laminating interlayer and the respective electrically conductive strip.

Electrical connector for a laminated window

A power connection apparatus of a vehicle is provided that includes a pair of substantially flat electrical conductor strips each having a first end and a second end. The first ends are adapted to be electrically coupled to integrated heater conductors in an automobile glazing. A film forms a protective coating over an intermediate section of the pair of electrical conductor strips. The film insulates and maintains a spaced relationship between the pair of substantially flat electrical conductors. A pair of wires is electrically coupled to the second ends. A first protective overmold seal is formed over the second ends of the pair of substantially flat electrical conductor strips for sealing the electric coupling of the second ends of electrical conductor strips and the wires.
