An apparatus for collecting and stacking in an inverted orientation large copy sheet discharged from the exit port of a whiteprint, blueprint or similar copying machine. A receptacle trough is provided for arresting and captivating the leading edges of the copy sheets as the sheets are discharged seriatim from the exit port of the machine. A stacking tray is disposed adjacent the receptacle trough for receiving the copy sheets inverted and in sequential order while the sheets remain captivated by the receptacle trough.

A print receiving tray is provided for receiving and stacking in register prints of various predetermined lengths issuing from a copying machine. The tray comprises a fixed support secured to the copying machine and a movable support pivotally mounted on the fixed support. The movable support is positionable among a first, an intermediate and an extended position for conditioning the tray for receiving prints of uniform predetermined lengths at each of the positions differing from the uniform predetermined length of the prints at each of the other positions. Releasable retaining means is provided for holding the movable support in the extended position and for releasing the movable support for movement to either the intermediate or the first position. The movable support also includes register means for aligning a lead end of each print received by the receiving tray.

Print receiving tray

The present invention provides a device for eliminating the residue waste of aqueous ammonia solution, comprising a first portion of ammonia gas and a second portion of steam, of a developer system in an ammonia type diazo machine. The device provides for separating the first and second portions, recirculating the first portion to the developer system, condensing the second portion to form water and conveying the water via an inlet duct to an evaporator tank. A heater is provided for heating the evaporator tank to vaporize the water therein and an outlet duct is provided for expelling the water vaporized in the tank to an exhaust system of the machine. The heater is controlled by a first thermostat for maintaining the temperature in the evaporator tank within a working range to vaporize the water, and a second thermostat is provided for sensing a temperature below the working range indicating a heater failure and, in response thereto, initiating stoppage of residue waste flow from the developer system to prevent overflow of water in the evaporator tank.
