Method for managing the accessibility of an uplink channel, of the control channel and/or data channel type, for a communications network infrastructure with a plurality of pieces of radio equipment (SU; SU; SU), in which the accessibility to the uplink channel is transmitted on a downlink channel of the network infrastructure to the pieces of radio equipment by means of status symbols indicating if access to the uplink channel is authorized during a timeslot. The method comprises: a receiving of a message on the uplink channel coming from a piece of radio equipment (SU), the message comprising an indicator in order to indicate a length type of the message; a reading of the indicator indicating the type of length and when the message is of the long type: a determining of the length L of the message received using a processing of a header block; a determining of the number Nb of subsequent timeslots corresponding to the determined length L, and a modification of at least one status symbol of the Nb subsequent timeslots determined.

A method of managing a cell of a radio telecommunication network, the cell including a site controller to control, via a packet network, a plurality of transmitters distributed over different sites of the cell such that the transmitters of the different sites transmitting over a same frequency band form a transmission channel, a channel of the transmission channel being a control channel dedicated to a transmission of signals relative to an operation of the cell, the signals including general operating signals and specific operating signals, the method including: transmitting a request comprising general operating signals from the site controller to a transmitter selected by said site controller to control storage of general operating signals in the selected transmitter, and to control handling of a transmission of the general operating signals addressed to all terminals present in the cell over the control channel in case of failure of the site controller and/or of the packet network.

Cell management method and a corresponding controller thereof in a radio communications network

A method for managing a degraded mode of a cell of a cellular network including a site controller for controlling, via a packet network, transmitters distributed over various sites of the cell such that transmitters implementing the same pair of frequencies over different sites form a channel which, in dynamic mode, is allocated dynamically to any communication between terminals of the cell, the channel including a master transmitter selected by the controller. The method includes, in each master transmitter on detection of a failure of the controller: switching in degraded mode of the master transmitter, by associating with the channel a predefined communication known to the terminals, and transmission from the master transmitter, via the network, of a control message informing a control console connected to the packet network of the implementation of the degraded mode so that the console participates in a communication underway in the channel.

Method for managing a degraded mode of a cell in a radiocommunication network

To allow the synchronization at multiframe level of a mobile terminal on a traffic down path which exhibits a multiframe structure with a determined number L of useful data frames, the base stations send signalling frames respectively associated with each useful data frame of the traffic down path and each containing a signalling code. The number N of distinct values of the signalling codes which are usable by the mobile terminal to recover the synchronization at multiframe level is less than L. These values are apportioned to the associated signalling frames in such a way that there exist two integers P and Q, not both equal to unity, such that P&#xd7;Q of these values, respectively contained in P sequences of associated signalling frames each comprising Q signalling frames respectively associated with any Q consecutive useful data frames of a multiframe, form a unique word.
