Systems and techniques for increasing the efficiency of a process of providing a resource by a resource provider are disclosed. In one example, a method detects a presence of a vehicle at a fuel dispenser, transmits an authorization request message automatically in response to detecting the presence of the vehicle, and automatically allows the fuel dispenser to dispense fuel to the vehicle.

Techniques for secure authentication in virtual reality are provided. A virtual reality application executing on a virtual reality device can provide virtual reality environment. The virtual reality application may communicate with a server that provides a plurality of objects for display in the VR environment. The environment can include an object that, once selected, may initiate an authentication process. Once initiated, an authentication application may be launched on the VR device, so that a private authentication environment may be provided to the user. The user may be prompted to provide a biometric sample using one or more input devices coupled to the VR device. The biometric sample can then be sent to the authentication server, so that an authentication result may be determined from a comparison of the sample to a biometric template established during registration.

Secure authorization for access to private data in virtual reality

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods, systems, and apparatuses for matching e-commerce and physical point-of-sale transaction data. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a computer, first transaction data comprising a payment token or second transaction data comprising a primary account identifier, wherein the payment token is derived from the primary account identifier, and providing, by the computer, a universal account identifier after receiving the payment token or the account identifier, wherein the universal account identifier is a substitute for the payment token and the primary account identifier.

Method and system for correlating diverse transaction data

A server computer can provide a merchant or other entity with a payment card (or other payment device) detection service that can determine a level of fraud based on the account type being presented (e.g., credit, debit, prepaid, etc.) at the time of purchase. For example, a payment account number (PAN) can be used to perform a database lookup (e.g., a range lookup) to identify the payment account type, which can then be fed into a fraud detection system. The level of fraud can then be used to determine an authorization result (e.g., accept, reject, or review). A use of a merchant processor computer that implements fraud processing can allow a merchant to implement discounting, acceptance, and/or fraud rules based on the card type.

A method and system for providing multiple authorization request messages for multiple products offered by respectively different merchants in a single order are disclosed. If one of the authorization request messages is declined, then an order interrupt message may be sent to the consumer. In order interrupt message may indicate that the single order is canceled, even though authorization request messages for the purchase of other products in the order are approved.

One embodiment of the invention is directed to implementing a broker system to accept confidential information from upstream trading partners, retrieve tokens from the tokenization service, send tokens to the merchant ordering system, and forward confidential information to downstream trading partners. By using a broker system, the merchant ordering system could store and use tokens to identify orders in its system instead of confidential information, which can help protect the confidential information in the event of a security breach. Also, the broker system may provide an amenable solution for the merchant to continue doing business with the upstream and downstream trading partners without causing these entities to substantially change their current processing systems.

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods, systems, and apparatuses for enabling payment information received via a reader device coupled to a mobile point-of-sale (POS) terminal to be communicated in a secure manner to a third party service provider for payment processing of a transaction between a merchant and a consumer. Some embodiments are directed to communication of the payment information received from a reader device using a payment processing mechanism (e.g., a hosted order page) of the merchant to process payment information via the third party service provider in a secure manner. The reader device can encrypt payment information using a third party encryption mechanism, such as derived unique key per transaction (DUKPT). The third party encryption mechanism can be used or accessed by the third party service provider to enable end-to-end security for payment processing.
