A cordless compressor has an air storage tank, a pump for pressuring air within the air storage tank, a motor driving pump, a power tool battery pack connected to the motor, a discharge port connected to the air storage tank, and a regulator disposed between the discharge port and the air storage tank. The pump can raise the air pressure within the air storage tank from 0 psi to about 135 psi in less than 135 seconds. With such arrangement, a compressor having an air pressure within the air storage tank of 135 psi set at a 70 psi setting can power an 18 gauge nailer connected to the compressor to drive more than 1200 nails on a single battery charge.

Cordless compressor

An oil lubricated compressor having a universal motor, efficient starting and re-starting characteristics, and a long operating life. The oil lubricated compressor can have a brushed or brushless universal motor which can drive a cooling fan and a pump. The universal motor can achieve a high torque to voltage ratio, as well as a high torque to current ratio, upon starting or re-starting of the compressor. Optionally, the oil lubricated compressor can use a single cooling fan disposed in the compressor at a location which is between the universal motor and a cylinder head of the pump.

Oil lubricated compressor

A multi-pressure compressor that includes a roll-cage frame, first and second compressor assemblies mounted in the roll-cage frame, a tank coupler, which is in fluid communication with the second compressor and is configured to be coupled to an auxiliary tank that is rated for an internal pressure in excess of 2500 psi, a bracket that is coupled to the roll-cage frame and configured to receive the auxiliary tank therein, and at least one controller for operating the first and second compressor assemblies.

Multi-pressure gas compressor having simultaneous running and charging systems

An air compressor that employs splash lubrication to lubricate and cool a piston kit that includes a cylinder and a piston reciprocating in the cylinder. In one form, cooling channels can be coupled to or formed on the cylinder to direct the lubricant that is splashed onto the cylinder to drain in a desired manner, such as helically around the exterior of the cylinder, to more effectively cool the piston kit. In another form, the cylinder can include an annular flange that can be bigger in diameter than a remainder of the cylinder. The annular flange can be received into a counterbore in a cylinder block. A cylinder head, which can be fastened to the cylinder block, can apply a clamping force to the annular flange to clamp or fix the cylinder to cylinder.

Air compressor

The present invention is directed to a suitcase style air compressor assembly having an extensible handle bar assembly and a wheel assembly. When the extensible handle bar assembly is fully extended, the suitcase style air compressor assembly may be transported by utilizing the extensible handle bar assembly and the wheel assembly. When the suitcase style air compressor assembly reaches a worksite, the extensible handle bar assembly may be retracted so that the suitcase style air compressor assembly does not occupy a large space.

A check valve is provided for stopping the reverse flow of fluid through a fluid-carrying conduit and includes a fluid dampening device to dampen the closing movement of the valve upon flow reversal. The fluid dampening device includes a member for containing a fluid that becomes compressed upon a reverse flow of fluid through a conduit that houses the check valve. As the check valve is forced by a reverse fluid flow in a reverse direction, fluid in the fluid dampening device becomes compressed and is permitted to slowly seep out of the fluid dampening device via fluid passageways that permit only the slow escape of fluid from a compressed fluid chamber.

A moisture separator including a separator tank that defines a separation chamber, the separator tank having an inlet; and a separation element located at the separator tank inlet, the separation element including an outer ring having a first side and a second side, the outer ring defining a flow opening; a hub located in the flow opening; and a plurality of flow directing elements, each flow directing element including a rib joining the outer ring and the hub, and a first guide vane made integral with the rib and located along the first side of the outer ring, and a second guide vane made integral with the rib and located along the second side of the outer ring.
