A lock cylinder assembly includes a housing, a first cylinder disposed within a first bore formed in the housing, and a second cylinder disposed within a second bore formed in the housing, in which at least one of the first and second cylinders is an electronic cylinder. The lock cylinder assembly further includes first and second cams, in which each of the first and second cams are configured to actuate a door lock mechanism. The first cam is directly connected to the second cylinder so as to be rotatable with the second cylinder. The second cylinder and the second cam are rotatable with respect to each other so that the second cam does not rotate with the second cylinder. The second cam is rotatably coupled to the first cylinder so that the second cam rotates when the first cylinder is rotated.

Dual function lock cylinder assembly operable by different keys

An electronic small format interchangeable core ('SFIC') lock is configured so that core locking features are electronically controlled, and keys can be electronically programmed to operate either as a normal user key able to open the lock or as a control key able to open the lock and to remove the SFIC cores. The same key will operate as a normal access key or as a control key, depending on how the key is programmed.

Electronically-controlled removable core lock

A key and lock device comprises a key having a first electronic circuit and a lock having a second electronic circuit. The key and the lock store secret information, some of which is unique for each device. The key and the lock exchange a random number through connectors and perform a calculation in the respective circuitry based on the random number and secret information. An electrical blocking mechanism is moved to a non-blocking position if a comparison of the calculations in the circuits gives the correct result.

Key and lock device

An electronic security system includes an electronic lock mechanism and an electronic key, each of which is provided with a microprocessor controller and a memory storing data including an ID code and encryption key codes. The electronic lock security system preferably includes an electronic lock including a hollow cylinder, an opening into the cylinder, a bolt movable through the opening between an extended position and a retracted position, a cam member within the cylinder, the cam member contacting the bolt to move the bolt to an unlocked position, a solenoid within the hollow cylinder, the solenoid being engageable with the cam member, an electronic lock circuit within the hollow cylinder, a plug connected to the solenoid for rotating the solenoid, the plug having a keyway for insertion of a key for rotating the plug. In addition, the system also includes an electronic key insertable within the keyway for communicating with the electronic lock circuit to operate the lock. A torque transmitting solenoid is used in the system.

An anti-tamper locking assembly for locking a position of a block, such as a locking bolt in an electronic lock, electrically moves a pin to engage or dis-engage the block. When dis-engaged, the block can be moved and access or the like can be made. The pin is selectively moved electronically in order to allow access, entry or the like. The pin can be moved with, e.g., a solenoid. The pin has an overhanging portion, or a head portion. In order to prevent an individual from forcing the pin into an un-locked position, the head portion operates in conjunction with at least one spring-arm member and a blocker which are fixed to the block to prevent a user from being able to strike the device with a hammer or the like to 'temporarily' move the pin to a position allowing the block to be moved and access or the like to be made.
