The present invention is to the production of flexible polyurethane foam in the absence of an amine catalyst. The reactivity of the foam forming system can be controlled by the addition of an autocatalytic polyol containing a tertiary amine where the amount of autocatalytic polyol comprises less than 5 percent by weight of the total polyol.

Process to manufacture flexible polyurethane foams

Radiolabeled colloid compositions and a method for the preparation of radionuclide-colloid compositions useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis are disclosed. A radionuclide selected from the group consisting of Sm-135, Ho-166, In-155m, Y-90, Gd-159 La-140, Lu-177, or Yb-175 is sorbed to a previously prepared iron-hydroxide colloid. The radiolabeled colloid compositions are comprised of spherical aggregations containing greater than 50% of the radioactive metal in iron-hydroxide particles. The method produces stable radionuclide iron-hydroxide compositions which are useful in therapeutic procedures such as radiation synovectomy.

Gas turbine compressors are cleaned during power generation (on line) by periodically injecting or spraying into the air inlet, a cleaning composition comprising 4-95 percent by weight of a glycol ether such as ethylene glycol butyl ether, or a mixture of glycol ethers such as propylene glycol methyl ether and dipropylene glycol methyl ether, 0.1 to 14 percent by weight of a nonionic surfactant, 0.01 to 6 percent by weight of a cationic surfactant and 0 to 95 percent by weight of water.

Inhibition of calcium scale under the extreme temperature conditions found in pulp digesters has been accomplished by employing certain mixtures of polaminopoly(alkylenephosphonic acids) together with nonionic surfactants. Diethylenetriaminepenta(methylenephosphonic acid) together with a polyethoxynonylphenol has been found especially effective for the purpose.

Scale inhibition formulations for kraft digesters

Triethylenetetraminehexaacetic acid is used as a builder in combination with a surfactant or mixture of surfactants to provide a detergent composition having excellent properties. In the series of ethyleneaminopolycarboxylic acids triethylenetetraminehexaacetic acid was found unexpectedly superior as a substitute for nitrilotriacetic acid as a builder in detergent formulations.

For drilling mud during use in drilling a well an additive of FE Chelate is disclosed. The chelating agent preferably includes EDTA, HEDTA, NTA, or DTPA. It is oxygen regenerated at the surface to enable repeated use to remove H.sub.2 S. Any H.sub.2 S is converted to elemental sulfur, reducing risk of poisoning.

Downhole hydrogen sulfide scavenging in drilling mud using iron chelates

Fluid streams containing hydrogen sulfide from a steam turbine or from a sour gas stream are contacted with an aqueous solution of a polyvalent metal chelate and an oxidizing agent whereby the hydrogen sulfide is converted to free sulfur and then to soluble sulfur compounds. The metal chelate is reduced to a lower oxidation state metal chelate and reduced metal chelate is subsequently oxidized with air back to the higher oxidation state and reused.
