The present disclosure provides a fitment. In an embodiment, a fitment is provided and includes a top portion, a base, and a channel extending through the top portion and the base for passage of a flowable material. The fitment is composed of a polymeric composition. The polymeric composition includes (i) from 70 to 90 weight percent of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a density from 0.940 g/cc to 0.970 g/cc, a melt temperature, Tm, greater than 125&#xb0; C., and a melt index from 1 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min; and (ii) from 30 to 10 weight percent of an olefin-based elastomer having a density from 0.860 g/cc to 0.905 g/cc, a melt index from 0.2 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min, and a Tm less than 125&#xb0; C.

Fitment with blend component and flexible container with same

The present disclosure provides a film. In an embodiment, a multilayer film having at least three layers is provided. The multilayer film includes two skin layers, each skin layer composed of a blend of a low density polyethylene and an ethylene-based elastomer having a density less than 0.90 g/cc. The multilayer film also includes a core layer located between the skin layers. The core layer includes a propylene-based plastomer having a density less than 0.90 g/cc. The multilayer film has an onset end temperature from 90&#xb0; C. to 110&#xb0; C. and a heat seal strength at 120&#xb0; C. from 1.5 N/cm to 2.5 N/cm.

Adhesive composition for reclosable multi-layer film

A composition includes (A) 30-95 wt % of a random or homogeneous propylene-based interpolymer having: (i) a comonomer content of at least one of Cand C&#x3b1;-olefins of 7 wt % to 49 wt % based on the total weight of the propylene-based interpolymer, (ii) a density of 0.90 g/cc or less, and (iii) an MFR of 1 g/10 min or greater (230&#xb0; C./2.16 kg); and (B) 5-70 wt % of a block composite nucleator comprising: (1) a first polymer that includes polypropylene; (2) a second polymer that includes an alpha-olefin based polymer, the alpha-olefin being selected from at least one of a Cand C&#x3b1;-olefins, and (3) a block copolymer having a first segment and a second segment, the first segment of the block copolymer having the same composition as the first polymer in the block composite nucleator and the second segment of the block copolymer having the same composition as the second polymer of the block composite nucleator.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes (A) four panels adjoined along a common peripheral seal. The common peripheral seal is composed of a first side seal, an opposing second side seal, a top seal, and an opposing bottom seal. The four seals form a chamber. (B) Each panel includes a bottom face, and the four bottom faces are sealed together to define a bottom section. The flexible container includes (C) an upper spout seal extending from the first side seal to the second side seal. The flexible container also includes (D) a lower spout seal. (E) The upper spout seal and the lower spout seal each include a respective spout seal segment and a respective chamber seal segment. (F) The chamber seal segments define a sealed chamber top. (G) The lower spout seal segment is reciprocally aligned with the upper spout seal segment to form a spout. The spout extends from the sealed chamber top to the second side seal.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a front panel, a rear panel, a first gusseted side panel, and a second gusseted side panel, the gusseted side panels adjoining the front panel and the rear panel along (i) peripheral seals to form a chamber; and (ii) handle seals to form a handle, the handle located at an end of the chamber and including a pocket formed from the handle seals. The pocket contains a grip member.

A composition of matter particularly well suited for use as a peelable seal layer is described. The composition comprises from about 50 to about 85 percent by weight of a first polymer and from 15 to 50 percent of a second polymer. The first polymer is a propylene based polymer characterized by having a melting point of at least 125&#xb0; C. together with a Comonomer Composition Distribution Breadth ('CCDB') less than 2. The second polymer is characterized by having an interfacial adhesion with the first polymer of less than 1 lb/inch.
