Oil based vaccines often cause serious local side effects at the site of administration and/or have a high viscosity which make said vaccines difficult to handle. Vaccines comprising as an adjuvant a stable emulsion of tocols in water do not display these undesired effects and induce good immune responses.

Tocols as adjuvant in vaccine

According to the present invention antibody preparations are more stable during storage if in addition they contain a mixture of at least one polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene block polymer (such as Pluronic F68) and at least one phospholipid (such as lecithin).

Stabilization of antibodies

The invention relates to highly concentrated liquid pharmaceutical formulations of steroids of the oestrane, androstane and (19-nor-)pregnane series comprising tocol or a derivative thereof that is fluid at normal temperature, or mixtures thereof, in an amount of at least 10% by weight of the formulation, and optionally one or more of the usual fluid carriers, such as vegetable oil, benzyl benzoate and/or benzyl alcohol.
