A system is disclosed for protecting fish from parasite infection. The system comprises a fish guidance system for deterring fish from moving into a first region bordering a water surface and/or for can move from the second region into the first region so that they can reach the water surface bordering the first region. The system further comprises a radiation disinfection system that is configured to provide disinfection radiation to the first region, the disinfection radiation being configured to disinfect water from parasites.

System and method for protecting fish from parasite infection

An aquaculture luminaire () generates below the water surface upward light () and downward light (). The upward light () is all directed with an angle to the vertical greater than a threshold angle. The division of light between the upward and downward directions may be configurable. Alternatively or additionally, the threshold angle may be configurable so that it ensures the light exceeds the angle for total internal reflection at the water surface. In this way, the luminaire is adaptable to the intended installation position of the luminaire and/or the prevailing water surface conditions (e.g. waves).

Method for integration of plug load controllers in a lighting system

A lighting control circuit is for controlling a lighting arrangement comprising a set of at least two light sources in parallel. A current driver is used to deliver a drive current to the lighting arrangement. A switch is associated with the second light source, which may for example be provided for color adjustment, and the duty cycle of the switch is controlled as well as the overall drive current setting thereby to control the color or color temperature setting and dimming level of the lighting arrangement. The controller derives the required average output current and the expected average output voltage from the current driver based on the determined duty cycle and the dimming level, and then derives the current driver setting. In this way, the current driver is accurately controlled to deliver the required output. This enables a single stage driver to be used to control the color or color temperature of multiple light source channels, for example in dependence on a dimming level.

This invention relates to a thermal interface device () arranged to provide a thermal coupling interface between a heat-generating unit () and a heat-removing unit (), comprising a liner layer (), which has opposite first and second surfaces (), at least the first surface being a slide surface, and which is provided with multiple perforations (); and a thermal connection layer (), which is engaged with the liner layer at the second surface () thereof, and which is one of elastically and inelastically deformable. The thermal interface device has an idle state where the perforations are open, and an active state where the perforations are filled with a part of the thermal connection layer. The thermal connection layer is arranged to be deformed by the thermal interface device being subjected to a compression force exceeding a deformation threshold, and thereby to fill the perforations.
