Systems and methods for creating a new domain, such as a top-level domain or a second-level domain, make use of a Domain Manager that enables a user to enter data that is necessary or optional to implement the creation of a new domain. Systems such as, for example, a Registry and one or more Registrars, may use the data defined by the Domain Manager to create a new domain.

Methods and systems for automated language detection for domain names are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method for detecting a language of an Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) comprises receiving, by an I/O interface, a string of characters for the IDN; receiving training data, including a plurality of multi-gram analyses for a set of languages; analyzing, by a processor, the string of characters based on the training data, wherein the analyzing includes extracting a set of multi-grams from the string of characters and comparing the extracted set of multi-grams with the training data; detecting the language of the IDN based on results of the analyzing. In some embodiments, the method further comprises comparing the detected language of the IDN with a user selected language and using the IDN to generate a domain name, if the comparing indicates that the detected language of the IDN is consistent with the user selected language.

Automated language detection for domain names

Systems and methods for searching domain names and owner information in a search tool involve networked databases, indexers, text indexes, and a server. The networked databases store domain names and owner information associated with the domain names. The indexers index suffixes of the domain names and of text-searchable portions of the owner information that have a minimum length of characters, and the text indexes store the indexed suffixes. In response to a search request, the server searches the text indexes for a matching domain name and/or matching owner information that satisfy the search request, queries the networked databases for corresponding owner information associated with the matching domain name and/or corresponding domain names associated with the matching owner information, and provides search results that include the matching domain name and the corresponding owner information and/or the matching owner information and the corresponding domain names.

Systems and methods for searching domain names and owner information associated with the domain names in a web-based Whols search tool. Systems including one or more databases and one or more text indexes may store data including the domain names and owner information, and index text-searchable portions of the data. A search request may be received from a user with user preferences such as a selection of multiple or all top level domains. Search results may be ranked by relevancy, and may include the domain name with associated owner information.

Generating a keyword resolution includes receiving one or more keywords from a requestor and determining a geographic location to be associated with a resolution of at least one of the keywords against electronic information within at least one electronic information store. The keywords are resolved against the electronic information based, at least in part, on the geographic location and at least one matching result revealed through the resolution of the keywords based, at least in part, on the geographic location associated therewith is made perceivable.
