A heat treating method for a golf club head includes preparing a golf club head having at least one heat treating zone. A protrusion is provided on the heat treating zone. Heat treatment is carried out on the protrusion by a high-energy beam, and the protrusion is removed after the heat treatment. The properties of the material of the golf club head are improved without sacrificing appearance of the golf club head.

Heat treating method for golf club head

A golf club head includes a body having at least one assembling opening and at least one cover plate mounted in the at least one assembling opening. A plurality of spaced spot welding points are provided along a joint area between the cover plate and the perimeter wall of the assembling opening. A brazing bonding portion is located between a pair of the spaced spot welding points adjacent to each other. The spot welding points and the brazing bonding portions securely fix the cover plate in the assembling opening to improve the bonding reliability.

A golf club head includes a body and at least one transparent cover. The body includes a striking face for striking golf balls and a hosel for coupling with a shaft. The light cover and the holes reduce a weight of the crown of the golf club head and improve a rearward resilient deforming capacity of the striking face. Further, the resilient ribs assure strength of the recessed portion.

A reinforced golf club head includes a reinforcing plate, a curved sole plate, a striking plate and a crown plate. The reinforcing plate is welded to the sole plate in a lip area adjacent to the striking plate before the sole plate, striking plate and crown plate are joined together, so as to strengthen the sole plate and hence allow the lip area to withstand a relative large stress resulted from impact produced during striking a ball.
