A delivery device and implantable prosthesis for repairing a soft tissue defect such as an abdominal wall hernia. The delivery device includes a support body that is nested between a first and second layer of the prosthesis. The support body includes a zone of weakness to facilitate collapse of the nested delivery device and prosthesis. A handle extends from the support body and may be used to position the prosthesis as well as to cause the support body to move to a reduced configuration for removal of the support body from the prosthesis.

Muscle wall defect prosthesis and deployment system

A device for performing a remote ischemic conditioning treatment. The device includes an inflatable cuff and a cartridge which is a source of gas for inflating the cuff. A first valve controls the flow of gas from the cartridge to the cuff so as to maintain a predetermined pressure in the cuff during an ischemic period. A second valve allows gas to escape from the cuff during a reperfusion period of the remote ischemic conditioning treatment. A controller which may be battery-powered is used to control the opening and closing of the valves. The cartridge may contain a gas, or materials which, under certain conditions, react to produce a gas. The chemical reaction may be initiated by an electrical pulse or signal from the controller.

A system for performing remote ischemic conditioning includes an inflatable cuff configured to encircle a limb of a subject and a controller removably attached to the cuff. The controller includes a pump; a manifold in fluid communication with the pump; a connector in fluid communication with the manifold and in removable fluid communication with the inflatable cuff; a pressure sensor; and a control circuit configured to implement a remote ischemic conditioning treatment protocol.

System for performing remote ischemic conditioning

An organ perfusion device includes an inlet for connection to the organ, and an outlet for connection to the organ. The device also includes a perfusion circuit including: a reservoir configured to hold a perfusion fluid; a waste receptacle, and a plurality of fluid conduits. The fluid conduits define: a delivery fluid path connecting the reservoir with the inlet; a return fluid path, independent of the delivery fluid path, connecting the reservoir with the outlet; and a waste fluid path connecting the reservoir with the waste receptacle. The device also includes a first flow control device configured to selectively prevent or allow fluid flow from the reservoir to the organ via the delivery fluid path; and a second flow control device configured to selectively prevent or allow fluid flow from the reservoir to the waste receptacle via the waste fluid path.
