A toothbrush tip for a motorized toothbrush with a first brush head and a second brush head. The second brush head encircles the first brush head. The first and second brush heads has different axes of rotation. The first and second brush heads are driven by an elongated shaft. The shaft engages the second brush head. Interactive gear teeth associated with each first and second brush heads allows the first and second brush heads to rotate at opposite direction, upon being driven by the shaft.

An improved artificial spinal implant system for replacing a disc or vertebral body that provides adjustability in height, and provides support and stability of the spine with proper lordosis or kyphosis, osseous-integration of the implant, and motion preservation (if desired) of the adjacent vertebrae while preserving the space. Motion preservation is achieved with compressible and/or tiltable artificial discs.

A spinal surgical prosthesis such as an artificial disc having a pair of upper and lower plate members, a flexible disc interposes therebetween and a rigid collar made of a bio-compatible and bio-resorbable material surrounding the flexible disc between the upper and lower plate members. Prior to the resorption of the collar, the collar serves to provide stability to the flexible disc for enhancing osteo-integration of the prosthesis with adjacent vertebrae. Subsequent to the resorption of the rigid collar, the flexible disc provides flexibility and compressibility while maintaining the proper inter disc space and lordosis or kyphosis between adjacent vertebrae.

A brush tip for a motorized toothbrush has a first brush head and a second brush head. The second brush head encircles the first brush head. A shaft has two cranks, each engaging one of the brush heads. Continuous same-direction rotation of the shaft causes the brush heads to counter-rotate about a common axis. Distal ends of the first set of bristles on the first brush head form a circular pattern and the distal ends of the second set of bristles on the second brush head form an elliptical pattern.

The moving mechanism being part of the bearing surface assemblies. Each of the bearing surface assemblies having an outer bearing surface whereby movement of one bearing surface assembly in one direction will move the bearing surface assemblies away from each other and movement in the opposite direction will move the bearing surface assemblies towards each other.

A finger stick device for making a skin incision includes a blade pivot arm having a first end pivotally coupled to a housing and a second end having an upper sloped surface and a lower surface. A blade is affixed to the second end such that its cutting edge extends away from the lower surface. A resilient bias member when actuated traverses the upper surface and depresses the second end of the blade pivot arm, such that the blade exits the housing and incises the skin. The incising operation is complete upon the bias member traversing the sloped upper surface of the blade pivot arm. Also disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing the finger stick device, in which the bias member and blade pivot arm are molded as a monolithic unit. A blade is attached to the blade pivot arm, and the blade and monolithic unit are inserted into the housing. Further disclosed is an embodiment in which the housing is formed of two uniformly shaped halves, which when joined, provide an internal space for the monolithic unit. In this manner, the two halves are joined with the monolithic unit aligned therebetween so that the housing appears as an integral unit.
