A substantially vertically extending removable and replaceable cover and a substantially horizontally extending cover for use with a curtain wall system broadly comprising an array of windows, a set of vertical and horizontal mullions, a set of window gaskets. The covers overlay the mullions and each include a front side, left and right or top and bottom sides, and rear tabs extending therefrom for removably connecting the covers on the mullions.

A contoured metal building panel comprising an inner layer formed from a piece of flexible material that has been manipulated to create contours along its surface and an outer coating that substantially encases and hardens the flexible material so that the contours are substantially rigid and fixed.

An apparatus for applying a lightly scratched surface to a metal sample comprises a motor, a disk, a frame, a motion guidance unit, and a plurality of springs. The motor may provide a rotational motion to the disk which includes abrasive elements configured to create a plurality of microscopic scratches on the surface of the metal sample. The frame may include a bottom wall with an opening in which the motor is positioned. The motion guidance unit may retain the frame and guide the motion of the motor across the surface of the metal sample. The plurality of springs may couple the motor to the bottom wall of the frame in order to suspend the motor within the opening of the bottom wall and to allow lateral motion of the motor and the disk while the motor is rotating.

Apparatus for applying a finish to a metal surface and method of apparatus construction

An I-beam () comprises a first D-shaped flange () and a second D-shaped flange () connected by a web (). Each flange includes a planar segment () and a curved segment (). A lip () depends from the planar segment () of each flange () and is adapted to be attached to the web (). The curved segment () of each flange () includes an outer surface () and an outer surface (). The outer surface () is serrated to grip a wall panel or other structure attached to the flange () and the inner surface includes ridges () to strengthen the flange ().

A panel attachment system () comprising a plurality of covering panels (), a plurality of retaining members () to hold the panels (), and a plurality of mounting structures () to secure the retaining members () to a surface (). The panels () are held to the retaining members () through the use of protruding locking members () formed on the panels () which interlock with a slot () formed on the retaining member (). The panels () may be coupled to the retaining members () without the need for precise alignment, thereby expediting the installation of the surface (). The retaining members () additionally contain a drainage channel () to carry water and other debris away from the surface ().

Panel attachment system

A method of transferring a representation of an image to a surface () of a building (). The method comprising receiving the image as an image file, converting the image file to a raster file comprising a series of dots, scaling the raster file to the surface and dividing the raster file into a plurality of sub-components, associating the dots with markings (), and transferring the markings () onto a plurality of metal sheets (). The markings () may be indentations, holes, and/or bumps. The dots may be manipulated to accommodate features () of the surface (), such as windows, doors, indicia (), and edges of the sheets (). The markings () are preferably transferred to the sheets () by a metal working machine (). Thus, the method may include generating one or more control files that may be used by the machine ().

Computer program and method for converting an image to machine control data

A metal roof panel attachment system produces a finished roof surface presenting an overall smooth, planar configuration. Adjacent planar panels are attached to secondary support members which form a recessed joint incorporating a concealed drainage channel. Front and rear eave and rake sections are installed at the perimeter of the roof to form a finished, moisture-proof joint between the roof and walls. An outwardly extending flange directs water flow away from the walls of the structure.

An improved roof covering system (10) includes roof panels (12), joint areas (14), joint covers (16), and securing assemblies (18). The joint covers (16) include transversely extending locking tabs (40). The securing assembly includes clips (36) having vertically oriented slots (38) for engaging the tabs (40). The cover (16) is thereby secured over the joint (14) in weathertight relationship without the use of exposed fasteners while preventing longitudinal movement between the joints (14) and covers (16).
