A mixing device for the mixing of two or more liquids. A shell body is configured with a cavity having a longitudinal axis and circular cross-section which rotatably houses a shaft. The shaft is configured along a portion of its surface with grooves for receiving liquids to be mixed from inlets located within the shell body. A narrow annular gap region is formed between the outer surface of the shaft and the inner surface of the internal cavity in that portion of the shaft containing the slotted grooves.

Rotary mixer

A device for the mixing of two or more fluids is disclosed which comprises an elongated hollow tubular member which is constricted intermediate its ends with a mixing zone comprising (a) at least two cylindrical orifices whose axes are substantially parallel to the axis of the tubular member for carrying a first fluid and (b) a fluid entry port for discharging a second fluid substantially between said two cylindrical orifices. The device is particularly advantageous when used for the mixing of two fluids having widely disparate viscosities.

Dual viscosity mixer

A mixing device for the mixing of two or more liquids. A drive motor is connected to a hollow shaft which is rotatably contained within a shell body. The hollow shaft is configured with slotted gooves for receiving liquids to be mixed from inlets located within the shell body. A narrow annular gap region is formed between the outer surface of the hollow shaft and the inner surface of the shell body in an area of the hollow shaft not occupied by the slotted grooves. A first set of holes is configured in the hollow shaft located downstream of the narrow annular gap region for the introduction of liquids into the interior of the hollow shaft and a second set of holes configured in the hollow shaft located downstream of the first set of holes for dispensing the liquids from the interior of the hollow shaft and through the shell body.

A device for the mixing of two fluids in a conduit which is located within the conduit substantially along its longitudinal axis. The device is shaped as an elongated body having an upstream end and a downstream end, the upstream end being characterized as having an entry port for the entry of a first fluid found in the conduit. A hollow shaft is located downstream of the entry port which contains a plurality of mixing elements. A feed port is employed for the introduction of a second fluid to be mixed with the first fluid. The feed port is positioned to feed the second fluid into the hollow shaft proximate its upstream end.

Motionless mixer

A material mixing apparatus for the mixing of two or more fluids. A tubular conduit is provided for the passage of a first fluid. A casing is caused to pass through the tubular conduit, eminating substantially radially toward the center thereof and a quill is slidably located within the casing. The quill is hollow for the passage of a second fluid therethrough and possesses a discharge port for discharging the second fluid into a stream with the first fluid when the quill is radially extended within the casing, but which is blocked by the casing when the quill is not fully extended. Downstream from the second fluid discharge port is located a mixing means for mixing the first and second fluids.

Intermittent mixing apparatus

A stationary material mixing apparatus for mixing various components in a fluid stream. The mixing apparatus is in the shape of a conduit which is made up of individual biscuit sections which are aligned along a longitudinal axis, the biscuit sections each containing a plurality of openings therethrough where within openings are located mixing elements which induce a rotational angular velocity to the fluid stream.

Stacked motionless mixer

A device for maintaining a substantially uniform proportion between two or more liquids comprising a substantially cylindrically shaped tank and a liquid exit tube located at the bottom and approximately at the radial center of the tank. The liquid exit tube is characterized as possessing a flared top end and one or more openings at its bottom end. Means are also included within the cylindrically shaped tank for injecting two or more liquids into the tank which is connected to a pump or other means for maintaining circulation of the liquids.
