Systems, methods and devices for the communication of emergency information are disclosed. A subscriber to an emergency information data base places an emergency call. The communication device used by the subscriber sends an identifying message in a variety of formats, allowing an emergency response system to access the emergency information data base through a variety of means to obtain, for example, the medical history of the subscriber. Alternatively, the communications device has direct access to the data base. The communication device has a variety of features to enhance the communication of emergency information.

A shield for selectively preventing the propagation of electromagnetic radiation away from an antenna in the direction of the human operator for a cellular telephone and a transmitter, receiver or transceiver, the shield being formed of electrically conductive electromagnetic shield material applied to or embedded in the nonconductive insulating material encapsulating the antenna or to a nonconductive structure for the antenna and located in the area of the antenna which is in close proximity to the operator.

Biological fluid specimen collection container

An automated system for sampling and testing a fluid specimen using an analysis station. The fluid specimen is collected in a flexible container having an access port. A piercing element pierces the access port and is withdrawn, allowing the fluid specimen to drain from the container. Subsequently, the container can be resealed.

An automated method of using a system for sampling and testing a fluid specimen including an analysis station comprising collecting the fluid specimen in a flexible container having an access port, piercing a housing of the access port, withdrawing the piercing element and allowing the fluid specimen to drain from the container.

Specimen collection and analysis bag

The invention concerns the collection of a biological fluid specimen. Both an apparatus and method of collection are described. The apparatus includes an optically transparent plastic bag having a sealable collection port. The bag may be sealed into at least two separate subcompartments. After sealing, the subcompartments are to contain substantially identical fluid specimens. The bag further includes a displaceable element for selectively dispensing and drawing fluid into the system.

Biological fluid specimen collection bag

A plastic bag for collection of a human fluid specimen for chemical analysis and testing. The plastic bag includes a plurality of subcompartments for collecting a urine specimen and other biological specimens for analysis to ascertain the presence or controlled drug substances or other undesired chemicals or diseases. The plastic bag includes the features of a nonreusable plastic seal around each subcompartment containing redundant fluid specimens to enable a legally secure, reliable characterization of the fluid specimen.
