According to various embodiments, an electronic device includes a first housing; a second housing; at least one hinge device configured to foldably couple the first housing and the second housing with respect to a folding axis, wherein the at least one hinge device includes a rotation bracket link; a first rotation bracket rotatably coupled to the rotation bracket link and connected to the first housing; a second rotation bracket rotatably coupled to the rotation bracket link and connected to the second housing; at least one hinge device including a first arm coupled to the first rotation bracket and a second arm coupled to the second rotation bracket; a flexible display disposed to receive support from the first housing, the second housing, and the hinge device; and a first plate and second plate disposed under the flexible display, wherein the first arm and the second arm have the second plate and a support area for supporting the second plate when the electronic device is in an unfolded state.

An electronic device may include: a housing including a first housing and a second housing, a hinge connecting the first housing and the second housing to be rotatable, a display module including a display panel including a first area disposed in the first housing, a second area disposed in the second housing, and a folding area disposed in the hinge part, a first plate supporting the first area of the display panel, and a second plate supporting the second area of the display panel, a third plate disposed under the first plate, and a fourth plate disposed under the second plate. At least a part of at least one of the third plate and the fourth plate may be disposed between the first plate and the second plate to support at least some of the folding area of the display panel.

Hinge apparatus and electronic device including the same

According to an example embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device is provided, and the electronic device includes a foldable housing including a first housing, a second housing, and a folding part between the first housing and the second housing. A first support structure is positioned in an internal space of the first housing to support a portion of a flexible display of the device. A second support structure is positioned in an internal space of the second housing to support a second portion of the flexible display. A first plate assembly is positioned in an internal space of the foldable housing, coupled to the first support structure, to support a portion of the flexible display. The first plate assembly includes a first plate, a second plate, a third plate, and a fourth plate. The second plate is positioned between the third plate and the fourth plate, when viewed from above the fourth surface.
