Provided is a technology that enables a terminal to quickly perform an idle-to-active state shift and to quickly perform a handover using a carrier aggregation characteristic. The terminal may attempt a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection establishment using a plurality of carrier components. When the RRC connection establishment using one of the carrier components succeeds, the terminal may transmit an RRC reconfiguration complete message to a base station.

Idle-to-active state shift apparatus in carrier aggregation environment

A method is provided for managing a tunnel when a mobile node moves from an existing visiting network to a visiting network which supports a mobile IP. A mobile node may detect a movement of the mobile node, configure a care-of address (CoA) and thereafter transmit a location registration (Binding Update) message to a home agent. The mobile node may create a second tunnel in the visiting network and set the second tunnel as a receiving-only tunnel while maintaining a first tunnel which is already used in the existing visiting network. The mobile node may receive a location registration completion (Binding Acknowledgement) message from the home agent, change the second tunnel to the tunnel capable of transmitting/receiving by modifying a routing table, and cancel the first tunnel.

Tunnel management method and apparatus for reducing packet losses of mobile node in mobile IP environment

A caller authentication system that may enable a called party to be provided with identification information of a caller may be provided. The caller authentication system, including: a communication system to transmit, when a call request signal is received from a calling terminal of a caller, network information and a telephone number of the calling terminal to a certificate authority server, and to request identification of the caller, the network information and the telephone number being included in the call request signal, to transmit, when identification information of the caller is received from the certificate authority server in response to the identification request, the identification information to a called terminal of a called party, and to enable the identification information to be displayed on the called terminal.
