A display device may include a display panel that includes a plurality of display elements. The display device may further include a protective member overlapping the display panel. The display device may further include an optical member disposed between the display panel and the protective member and configured to prevent light reflected by the display panel from reaching the protective member. The optical member may include a plurality of directional members. The plurality of directional members may have an optic axis.

Display device and method for fabricating the display device

A window member includes flexible base films and a protective film. The flexible base films are stacked upon one another. Each flexible base film is substantially transparent. The protective film is disposed on the flexible base films and is substantially transparent. Each of the flexible base films includes protrusions and grooves disposed between adjacent protrusions. Corresponding protrusions of the flexible base films at least partially overlap one another.

Window member and image display apparatus including the same

A foldable display is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display includes a base substrate including a flexible area and a rigid area disposed at one or more sides of the flexible area. The foldable display also includes an image display device provided on the base substrate. The base substrate includes a matrix and a textile implanted in the matrix. The textile includes a flexible part corresponding to the flexible area and a rigid part corresponding to the rigid area. The rigid part is weaved differently from the flexible part.

Foldable display

A foldable display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display device includes a display panel and a window panel on the display panel. The window panel includes a folding area and a flat area adjacent to at least one side of the folding area. The flat area is less flexible than the folding area. An elastic modulus of the folding area is less than an elastic modulus of the flat area. The window panel includes a plurality of layers including a first layer, wherein a first thickness of the first layer in the folding area is different from a second thickness of the first layer in the flat area.

Foldable display device

A window panel includes a first rigid part including a rigid material, a second rigid part including the rigid material, and a base substrate interposed between the first and second rigid parts and including a folding part configured to be folded by an external force. The folding part includes a first area and a second area, which are alternately arranged on a plane surface of the base substrate substantially perpendicular to a thickness direction of the base substrate. The first area includes the rigid material, and at least a portion of the second area includes a soft material. Thus, the rigidity of the window panel is maintained by the rigid material and the flexibility of the window panel is improved by the soft material.

Window panel for a display apparatus

A foldable display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display device includes a display panel and a window panel provided on a front surface of the display panel. The window panel includes a flexible area and a rigid area provided adjacent to at least one side of the flexible area. The elastic modulus of the flexible area of the window panel is lower than that that of the rigid area.
