A hybrid powertrain for a vehicle includes: a planetary gear system including coaxial double pinions each having a first pinion and a second pinion that have different diameters and are provided to rotate coaxially; a carrier carrying the coaxial double pinions; and four rotation elements through which power is input and output. The hybrid powertrain further includes an engine, a first motor generator, a second motor generator, and an output shaft that are respectively connected to the four rotation elements of the planetary gear system.

A starting and generating system for a hybrid vehicle is provided. The system includes a starter-generator which transmits rotational force to the engine to start the engine when the starter-generator is operated as a motor, and is operated as a generator by receiving rotational force of the engine. A motor-generator is operated as a generator by receiving rotational force of the engine and a planetary gear mechanism connects the engine, the starter-generator, and the motor-generator to transmit rotational force between the engine, the starter-generator, and the motor-generator. Additionally, a first brake and a second brake selectively operate rotating elements, which are connected to the starter-generator and the motor-generator among the rotating elements of the planetary gear mechanism, as a fixed element. A controller specifically operates the starter-generator, the motor-generator, the first brake, and the second brake.

Starting and generating system for hybrid vehicle

Disclosed is system for a hybrid vehicle in which a rotor in a motor is continuously and directly connected to a transmission and is rotatable with the transmission. A first stator mounted around an exterior side of the rotor is directly connected to a shaft of the engine to be rotatable with the shaft of the engine, and a second stator is fixedly mounted to the exterior side of the motor housing around the rotor. The system may further include a lock-up clutch configured to selectively connect a rotation shaft of the rotor with the shaft of the engine, a first inverter configured to control an operation of the first stator, and a second inverter configured to control an operation of the second stator.

A charged coupled device structure (CCD) and a method for fabricating the CCD structure, which induces a maximum potential distribution difference by utilizing gate insulation films having different physical properties. The charged coupled device includes a semiconductor substrate, a first insulation layer formed on the semiconductor substrate, a plurality of first electrodes spaced at fixed intervals over the first insulation layer, a second insulation layer formed only between the plurality of first electrodes and the first insulation layer, a third insulation layer formed over the entire exposed surface of the first electrodes and the first insulation layer, and a plurality of second electrodes formed only on the surface area corresponding to spaces between the plurality of first electrodes. This gate insulation layers having different physical properties induces a maximum potential distribution difference in a semiconductor substrate with a dielectric constant difference between the insulation layers.

An electro static discharge protection circuit capable of achieving an improvement in ESD protection characteristic by an isolation between the inner cell ground and the ESD protection circuit ground and use of a field oxide transistor. The protection circuit includes first and third p type wells formed at a peripheral circuit region of a n type substrate and a second p type well formed at a cell region of the substrate, a first p.sup.+ type impurity-diffused region, first, second and third n.sup.+ type impurity-diffused regions, all of the impurity-diffused regions being formed in the first p type well, a second p.sup.+ type impurity-diffused region formed in the second p type well, a third p.sup.+ type impurity-diffused region, fourth, fifth and sixth n.sup.+ type impurity-diffused regions, all of the impurity-diffused regions being formed in the third p type well, a field oxide film formed over a surface portion of the n type substrate between adjacent high concentration impurity-diffused regions formed in each of the first and third p type wells, and gate electrodes respectively formed on portions of the field oxide film disposed between the second and third n type impurity-diffused regions and between the fourth and fifth n type impurity-diffused regions.

Electro static discharge protecting circuit

A coil integrated semi-conductor device and method of making the same is disclosed. First to third metal layers are in sequence formed on a semi-conductor device. The first and third metal layers of equal width are connected to each other through contact holes, to define a hollow region which is filled with the second metal layer disposed centrally therein and a circumferential region surrounding the second metal layer. The first and third metal layers are used as a coil and the second metal layer is used as a core of magnetic material. The circumferential region surrounding the second metal layer is filled with different dielectric layers. According to the invention, a coil capable of exerting the magnetic field effect can be integrated in a semiconductor chip. This makes it possible contemplation of compactness, integration and preciseness of devices in the form that the coil is wound around the care. Therefore, the present invention is applicable to various systems in which the magnetic field caused by the current and the current induced by the magnetic field are utilized respectively. More particularly, the present invention is applicable to an oscillator, a small capacity motor, a magnetic field sensor and the like, as the form of the semi-conductor device.
