Disclosed are a system and a method for installing a smart card applet. A response message for an OTA message received from an external remote server is transmitted to form a communication channel based on HTTP (hyper text transfer protocol) between a smart card and the remote server. The applet is installed based on applet installation information received through the communication channel. A large scale applet is installed in a card within a short period of time.

The present invention provides a system and method for interfacing between a terminal and a smart card embedded within smart card, and a Universal Subscriber Identification Module (USIM), and a smart card applied to the same. That is, the execution procedure of a service application in the smart card is defined using a new interface between the terminal and the smart card by providing construction of a smart card equipped with one or more service applications, executing the special service application according to the request of the terminal, providing an output value according to the execution of the special application to the terminal, and requesting a special I/O device.

The present invention provides a system and method for interfacing between a terminal and a smart card, and a smart card applied to the same. In other words, by presenting the configuration including a terminal equipped with several device resources requested for interworking during the execution of the service applications stored in a smart card, and a Universal Subscriber Identification Module (USIM), and a smart card to prepare the selective execution of the application considering the service supportable terminal based on a device resource list created by the terminal, it is possible to provide suitable services to the terminal performance considering the difference in the mounted terminal model and manufacturer due to the selective executability according to the device resources with which the terminal is equipped with a number of service applications stored in the smart card.
