An electronic device is provided that includes a display in which a fingerprint recognition area is formed and which includes a display pixel layer, and a rear panel, formed under the display, having a first hole. The electronic device also includes a bracket, disposed under the rear panel, having a sensor accommodating area corresponding to a fingerprint sensor. The electronic device additionally includes the fingerprint sensor disposed under the display pixel layer and adapted to acquire image information to be used for authentication of a fingerprint using at least partially light radiated from the display pixel layer and reflected by the object. The sensor accommodating area has a second hole passing through the bracket, and the fingerprint sensor is disposed in the sensor accommodating area such that an air gap between the display and the fingerprint sensor is formed at least by a portion of the second hole.

Electronic device supporting fingerprint verification and method for operating the same

An electronic device is disclosed. According to an embodiment, an electronic device may comprise: a transparent member; a display panel that is disposed beneath the transparent member and comprises multiple pixels and at least one transmission area which is formed between the multiple pixels and through which light can pass; a biometric sensor which is disposed beneath the display panel and can acquire light that has been output through at least some of the multiple pixels, has been reflected by an external object near or in contact with the transparent member, and then has passed through the at least one transmission area; and a light path changing member disposed between the biometric sensor and the display panel and spaced a predetermined distance apart from the biometric sensor, the light path changing member being able to change an optical path with respect to at least a part of the light having passed through the at least one transmission area. Various other embodiments found in the specification are also possible.

Electronic device comprising fingerprint sensor

Disclosed is an electronic device including a transparent member, a display, wherein at least part of the display is disposed under the transparent member, wherein the display includes an active area, in which a plurality of pixels capable of outputting light to display contents, a biometric sensor, wherein at least part of the biometric sensor is disposed in a first area outside the active area, and a reflector positioned to direct light reflected by an external object in contact with at least a partial area of the transparent member to the biometric sensor through at least a portion of the transparent member, wherein at least some of the plurality of pixels are positioned to irradiate the external object, thereby resulting in the light reflected by the external object.

Wearable electronic device including fingerprint sensor

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a transparent member, a display positioned under a transparent member that includes a plurality of pixels, an image sensor positioned under some areas of the display, a memory, and a processor. The processor obtains a first image at least based on light output through at least some of the plurality of pixels and reflected by an external object coming into contact with the transparent member using the image sensor, performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the first image, generates a second image of the external object at least based on the first image when quality of the first image corresponds to a given condition based on a result of the authentication, and performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the second image.

An electronic device is provided that includes a display. The electronic device also includes a fingerprint sensor disposed under one or more pixels. The fingerprint sensor is adapted to acquire image information corresponding to a fingerprint of an external object that is in proximity to or in contact with the display based on at least a light radiated from at least one pixel and reflected by the external object. The electronic device also includes a rear panel disposed under the display. The rear panel includes an aperture corresponding to a disposition of the fingerprint sensor. The electronic device further includes a bracket disposed under the rear panel to support the display, and including a sensor seating area in which the fingerprint sensor is disposed. The fingerprint sensor is affixed to the sensor seating area. An air gap is formed between the display and the fingerprint sensor.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a touch display, a pressure sensing circuit, a fingerprint sensor, a processor, and a memory. The memory is configured to store fingerprint data associated with a plurality of reference fingerprints. The processor is configured to, when pressure is applied by the finger in the fingerprint sensing area, receive first data associated with the pressure from the pressure sensing circuit and receive second data associated with the fingerprint of the finger from the fingerprint sensor, identify a selected function corresponding to the second data based on comparing result of the second data and the reference fingerprint data, and execute the selected function.

A clutch structure of a transmission includes: a hub secured to a rotating shaft, a sleeve mounted on the hub so as to slide linearly, a clutch gear to rotate relative to the rotating shaft and integrally formed with a clutch cone, a first friction ring provided between the clutch gear and the hub to be pressed toward the clutch gear, a second friction ring having an inner surface to contact an outer surface of the clutch cone, and a middle cone having an inner surface to contact an outer surface of the second friction ring and an outer surface to contact an inner surface of the first friction ring. Each of the second friction ring and the middle cone is provided with a friction member on at least one of an inner diameter portion and an outer diameter portion each of the second friction ring and the middle cone.
