An advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) provides collision avoidance control for a host vehicle. The system can include one or more sensors mounted to the host vehicle and configured to sense a driving lane in which the host vehicle is traveling and to sense an external vehicle partially engaged in the driving lane. A controller controls steering, braking, or acceleration of the host vehicle on the basis of sensing information received from the sensor. The controller determines the external vehicle partially engaged in the driving lane as a target vehicle having at least a part thereof overlapping with a lane mark of the driving lane, and performs longitudinal braking or acceleration control or lateral steering control on the host vehicle based on lateral and longitudinal positional relationships between the host vehicle and the target vehicle.

Camera system for intelligent driver assistance system, and driver assistance system and method

The present disclosure relates to a camera system for an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS). The ADAS includes a voltage logic and a memory logic that may be used in a front-view camera system. The ADAS includes a scheme capable of coupling a lens barrel and a lens holder in a front-view camera system. The camera system according to the present disclosure includes a lens configured to capture a region ahead of a vehicle, a lens barrel configured to accommodate the lens in an internal space thereof, a lens holder coupled to the lens barrel, an image sensor configured to sense an image captured by the lens, an image processor configured to receive image data from the image sensor and process the received image data, and a camera micro-control unit (MCU) configured to communicate with the image processor and receive the data processed by the image processor.

The present disclosure relates to a camera system for an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS). For example, a voltage logic and a memory logic are used in a front-view camera system for an ADAS. An apparatus for assisting driving of a host vehicle provides stable control of the host vehicle by using road conditions including intersections, crosswalks and the like, forward lane markings, and a preceding vehicle. The apparatus includes an image sensor to capture images of an area in front of the host vehicle, and a controller configured to recognize a road section having no lane markings on a drive path, or recognize forward lane markings. The controller performs lateral control of the host vehicle selectively based on the forward lane markings and the recognized preceding vehicle according to whether the road section having no lane markings is recognized.

Apparatus for vehicle driving assistance

Disclosed herein is a vehicle control apparatus and a vehicle control method. The vehicle control apparatus includes a first sensor configured to detect an object; a second sensor configured to detect driver steering input information; an Autonomous Emergency Steering Assist (AESA) device configured to perform automatic emergency steering assist; a Driver-initiated Emergency Steering Assist (DESA) device configured to perform emergency steering assistance based on the driver steering input information; and a controller configured to control the AESA device to apply a steering assist control torque value corresponding to the AESA device differently for each of collision risk levels in a collision risk situation with the detected object, and when there is the detected driver steering input information, to control the DESA device to apply a steering assist control torque value corresponding to the DESA device according to the driver steering input information.

Vehicle control apparatus and vehicle control method

Provided is a back warning apparatus and a method and control system therefor. The back warning apparatus includes an image sensor installed at a rear of a vehicle, and a controller that obtains a rearview image via the image sensor when the vehicle moves rearward, recognizes the boundary of a free space in the rearview image and generates a surface profile associated with the height/depth of a surface behind the vehicle, determines the attribute of a rear object based on the boundary of the free space and the surface profile, and outputs a warning by determining whether a hazard exists in association with the attribute of the rear object based on the information associated with the vehicle. According to the present disclosure, information associated with a rear object having a short height is provided, thereby making effective use of a parking space and preventing damage to the bodywork of the vehicle.

Back warning apparatus, and method and control system therefor

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for assisting driving of a vehicle for stable control of a host vehicle using road conditions including intersections, crosswalks and the like, forward lane markings, and a preceding vehicle. The apparatus includes a road information recognition unit configured to recognize a section having lane markings and a section having no lane markings on a drive path, a lane information generation unit configured to recognize forward lane markings provided in a direction in which a host vehicle is proceeding, a vehicle recognition unit configured to recognize a preceding vehicle of the host vehicle, and a controller configured to perform lateral control of the host vehicle by assigning weights to information acquired by recognizing the forward lane markings and information acquired by recognizing the preceding vehicle based on whether the section having no lane markings is recognized.
