A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell stack; a sensor configured to sense a current and a voltage of the fuel cell stack; and a controller configured to acquire weight information based on a relationship between a usage time of a fuel cell and the current or voltage of the fuel cell stack and to determine a humidity state of the fuel cell stack based on the weight information, the current of the fuel cell stack and the voltage of the fuel cell stack.

Fuel cell system and method of controlling the same

A fuel cell system is provided. The system includes a fuel cell stack, a plurality of valves operated to be selectively opened or closed to supply fuel to the fuel cell stack and remove impurities, and a pressure sensor that detects a state of pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel cell stack. A fuel cell controller then determines whether the pressure sensor or the plurality of valves are faulty by comparing increase or decrease time of the pressure detected by the pressure sensor with a reference range of time delay, as the plurality of valves are operated to be opened or closed.

Fuel cell system and method for controlling the same

A low voltage battery charger is provided that includes a fuel cell stack that generates electrical energy by a reaction of hydrogen and oxygen and an air blower that supplies air to the fuel cell stack. A high voltage DC converter converts an output voltage generated at the fuel cell stack to a high voltage. A high voltage battery is charged with the output voltage converted by the high voltage DC converter. A low voltage DC converter converts the output voltage generated at the fuel cell stack to a low voltage and a low voltage battery is charged with the output voltage converted by the low voltage DC converter. A controller then variably adjusts a charge voltage of the low voltage battery based on an air amount supplied to the fuel cell stack through the air blower.

Charger of low voltage battery and method thereof

An emergency start device of a fuel cell vehicle having a motor as a driving source is provided and includes a fuel cell that supplies power to a motor and an air blower that supplies air to the fuel cell. A high voltage battery supplies power to the air blower and a direct current (DC) converter increases an output of the high voltage battery to transfer the output to the air blower. In addition, a first switch transfers or intercepts an output of the high voltage battery to the air blower. By directly transferring a voltage of the high voltage battery to the air blower, the fuel cell is driven, when the DC converter fails while driving by the high voltage battery.

A method of controlling power of the fuel cell vehicle includes dividing an expected driving path of the fuel cell vehicle into a plurality of sections and setting the plurality of sections according to a gradient, and comparing whether a predicted battery state of charge variation is within a battery charging/discharging allowance range for each of the plurality of divided sections The method further includes comparing predicted power with a predetermined maximum allowance power for each of the plurality of divided sections, and setting the plurality of divided sections as a battery charging/discharging prohibition section and a battery charging/discharging allowance section in advance according to a result of the comparison of the predicted battery state of charge variation and the predicted power.

Method and system for controlling power of fuel cell vehicle

An apparatus and method for controlling cooling of electronic components of a fuel cell vehicle are provided. The apparatus for controlling cooling of electronic components connected in series and parallel with a coolant loop in a fuel cell vehicle using a pump includes a monitor configured to collect measured temperature of the electronic components and a measured temperature of a coolant through a plurality of temperature sensors, and a controller configured to control the RPM of the pump based on the measured temperatures and at least one of electronic component temperature maps, a coolant temperature map and a temperature difference map representing temperature differences between the electronic components and coolant, the controller controlling the RPM of the pump using over-temperature set information and over-temperature reset information of each temperature map.
