A display device includes a display module including a bending area at which the display module is bent, and a non-bending area which extends from the bending area; a driving control module connected to the bending area of the display module; and a protective cover removably attachable to the display module, the protective cover including a cover portion and a support protrusion which protrudes from the cover portion. The display module bent at the bending area thereof disposes the driving control module facing a rear surface of the display module, and the protective cover attached to the display module bent at the bending area thereof disposes each of: the cover portion of the protective cover corresponding to the bending area of the display module and to the driving control module facing the rear surface of the display module, and the support protrusion corresponding to the driving control module.

Display device having protective cover

A display device includes a window member, a display module, a protective cover, and a coupling structure. The display module includes a non-bending area on a rear surface of the window member and a bending area bent from the non-bending area. The protective cover is on a rear surface of the display module to cover the bending area of the display module. The coupling structure couples the display module to the protective cover. The display module is coupled to other components of an electronic device after the protective cover is detached from the display module.

Display device and method of manufacturing electronic device using the same

A display panel includes a first portion including a display area; a second portion adjacent to the first portion in a first direction; and a bendable portion connecting the first and second portions and at which the display panel is bent about a bending axis extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The bendable portion includes: a stress concentration portion to which a stress is applied; and first and second stress generation portions at opposing sides of the stress concentration portion in the first direction, and to which stress is applied less than that applied to the stress concentration portion. Each of the first and second stress generation portions defines a second width in the second direction, the stress concentration portion defines a third width in the second direction less than the second width, and the second width is less than the first width.

Display panel and display apparatus including the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel including a display surface that displays an image and a rear surface that faces the display surface, a cover panel attached to the rear surface of the display panel, the cover panel including a center portion and an edge portion surrounding the center portion, the center portion having a thickness greater than a thickness of the edge portion, and a reinforcing member in an overlapping relationship with the edge portion of the cover panel, the reinforcing member facing the display panel such that the cover panel is between the reinforcing member and the display panel.
