A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel and a window member. The flexible display device includes a folding area and a peripheral area disposed adjacent to the folding area. The window member includes at least first and second base layers. The second base layer is overlapped with the first base layer and has a modulus of elasticity that is higher than that of the first base layer. A thickness of a first portion of the first base layer, which is overlapped with the folding area, is greater than a thickness of a second portion of the first base layer, which is overlapped with the peripheral area.

Flexible display device

A flexible display device including: a flexible display panel displaying an image; a touch sensing layer provided on the flexible display panel; and a window provided on the touch sensing layer and including a flat area and a bending area. The window includes a flexible film and a hard coating film provided on the flexible film, the thicknesses of the flexible film in the flat area and the bending area differ, and the thicknesses of the hard coating film in the flat area and the bending area also differ.

A flexible display device includes a display module and a window member disposed on the display module. The window member includes a base film, elastomer patterns disposed on one surface of the base film, and a hard coating layer disposed on the one surface of the base film to cover the elastomer patterns.

Organic light emitting diode display and method of manufacturing the same

A flexible display device includes a flexible display panel and a window member. The flexible display panel includes a folding area, and a peripheral area disposed adjacent to the folding area. The window member includes a first base layer on the flexible display panel, and a second base layer having a substantially same modulus as that of the first base layer. A first thickness portion of the second base layer, which overlaps the folding area, has a thickness smaller than a thickness of a second thickness portion of the second base layer, which overlaps the peripheral area.

Flexible display device including multi-layer window member

A foldable display is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display includes a base substrate including a flexible area and a rigid area disposed at one or more sides of the flexible area. The foldable display also includes an image display device provided on the base substrate. The base substrate includes a matrix and a textile implanted in the matrix. The textile includes a flexible part corresponding to the flexible area and a rigid part corresponding to the rigid area. The rigid part is weaved differently from the flexible part.

Portable terminal having flexible display

A foldable display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display device includes a display panel and a window panel on the display panel. The window panel includes a folding area and a flat area adjacent to at least one side of the folding area. The flat area is less flexible than the folding area. An elastic modulus of the folding area is less than an elastic modulus of the flat area. The window panel includes a plurality of layers including a first layer, wherein a first thickness of the first layer in the folding area is different from a second thickness of the first layer in the flat area.

Foldable display device

A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a display panel. A protective window is formed on the display panel. The protective window includes a first transparent member. The first transparent member includes a plurality of protrusions. The first transparent member is made of an elastomer. A second transparent member is provided on the first transparent member. The second transparent member is made of a high-hardness polymer material. The second transparent member fills spaces between the plurality of protrusions and forms a flat surface.

A foldable display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the foldable display device includes a display panel and a window panel provided on a front surface of the display panel. The window panel includes a flexible area and a rigid area provided adjacent to at least one side of the flexible area. The elastic modulus of the flexible area of the window panel is lower than that that of the rigid area.
