A method for restart when Start-Stop Coasting (SSC) is released may include: determining whether a traveling vehicle satisfies a condition for releasing SSC after entry into SSC (S); determining whether emergency startup of the vehicle is required (S) when the traveling vehicle satisfies the condition for releasing SSC after entry into SSC; and performing a first startup process (S) in which a clutch () is engaged along with an operation of a starter motor () when the emergency startup of the vehicle is required.

Method and apparatus for restart when SSC is released

A method for selecting a gear when Start-Stop Coasting (SSC) is released may include: determining whether a traveling vehicle satisfies a condition for releasing SSC after entry into SSC (S); selecting a gear input to a transmission (S) when the traveling vehicle satisfies the condition for releasing SSC after entry into SSC; determining a road gradient (S) when the traveling vehicle satisfies the condition for releasing SSC after entry into SSC; and correcting the selected gear according to a pre-stored correction map so as to correspond to the determined road gradient.

Method and apparatus for selecting gear when SSC is released

A SSC control method includes a condition satisfaction determination step of determining whether a vehicle can coast and a navigation information acquisition step of obtaining forward road information regarding a road section ahead of a current vehicle position when it is determined, in the condition satisfaction determination step, that the vehicle can coast. The method further includes a forward quick turn section determination step of determining whether a quick turn section exists in the road section ahead by using the forward road information obtained in the navigation information acquisition step, and an SSC entry step of controlling the vehicle to coast when it is determined in the forward quick turn section determination step that the quick turn section does not exist in the road section ahead.
