Provided are a current collector for a battery, including: a base material; adhesive layers positioned on the base material; and metal mesh layers positioned on the adhesive layers, in which the metal mesh layer includes a plurality of metal mesh patterns, and holes positioned between the metal mesh patterns, and a method of manufacturing the same. An active material is applied onto the metal mesh layer through the holes of the metal mesh layer, and thus a contact area of the metal mesh layer and the active material is increased, so that it is possible to restrict the active material from being deintercalated from the current collector and improve a cycle lifespan property of a battery.

A shaft passes through the tub and connects to the drum to transmit driving power from a motor to the drum. A washing machine having a lifter is disclosed. Disclosed is an Ni-plated layer of biaxial texture, which is formed by electroplating. In the Ni-plated layer,peaks measured on a &thgr;-rocking curve have a FWHM of 7&deg; or less in terms of the misorientation on the c-axis; and peaks measured on &phgr;-scan have a FWHM of 21&deg; or less in terms of the misorientation on the plane formed by the a-axis and the b-axis. Also, a process of electroplating a Ni layer are disclosed. The process comprises forming a Ni-plated layer of biaxial texture under a magnetic field by electroplating and subjecting the Ni-plated layer to thermal treatment to develop the biaxial texture. This electroplating process is expected to give a significant contribution to the development of the electroplating technology and to replace the vacuum deposition used for the preparation of thin film magnetic materials or thin film piezoelectric materials.
