A method for making a wired drill pipe joint includes forming an electrically conductive material into a structure that is radially expandable to conform to an interior of the pipe joint substantially without plastic deformation of the electrically conductive material. An electrical connector is coupled to each longitudinal end of the formed electrically conductive material to form an electrical conductor assembly. An interior of the pipe joint is coated with an electrically insulating material. The electrical conductor assembly is inserted into the pipe joint. The electrically conductive material is radially expanded to conform to an interior surface of the pipe joint wherein a bonding material is applied to the interior wall of the pipe joint.

A closure is for a container, for example a beverage container. In some examples the closure comprises an outer portion connectable to an opening of the container, an axially actuatable inner portion having a sealing member for restricting fluid flow through the closure with the inner portion in a first position and allowing fluid flow through the closure with the inner portion in a second position axially displaced relative to the outer portion, and an annular membrane connecting the outer and inner portions and configured to provide a returning force to resiliently bias the inner portion towards the first position. A multifunctional sealing device for a valve structured for opening of a discharge conduit by virtue of upstream-directed movement of a sealing body relative to the discharge direction. The distinctive characteristic of the invention is that the sealing body is of a radially flexible arrangement; wherein the discharge conduit is provided with at least one storage seal seat for sealing reception of the sealing body when the valve is in a storage mode, and also at least one utility seal seat for sealing reception of the sealing body when the valve is in a closed utility mode; wherein the at least one utility seal seat is provided upstream of the at least one storage seal seat; and wherein both the storage seal seat and the utility seal seat are structured for sealing against the sealing body during downstream-directed movement of the sealing body.
