Steam cooking apparatus

An oven, which both satisfies heat insulating and cooling of a door by adjusting an air flow in channels formed in the door. The oven includes a plurality of channels provided in a door, into which external air flows, accompanied with air discharged by a discharge duct, such that the air flows in the plurality of the channels, and a flow conversion part formed above at least one of the plurality of the channels for stagnating the flow of air. Since the door insulates a cooking chamber from heat and is cooled using a difference of pressures between upper and lower portions of the door, the oven concurrently satisfies conflicting two requirements, such as heat insulating and cooling of the door.

Multi-glass door cooling oven

Disclosed herein is an oven that is capable of discharging hot air generated when cooling a door and heat generated in a cooking chamber through the lower end of the door. The oven includes a door having at least two separated air channels. The air channels comprise at least one first air channel to discharge hot air generated when cooling the door through the lower end of the door, and at least one second air channel to introduce air through the lower end of the door such that the door is cooled. In the housing is mounted a circulating fan. Between the circulating fan and the air channels is connected a channel connecting unit. As the circulating fan is rotated, air flows along the second air channel to cool the door. Hot air generated when cooling the door is introduced into the first air channel through the channel connecting unit, and is then discharged out of the oven through the lower end of the door.

The door damper includes a rotational shaft rotatably coupled to a door, a rotating resistance unit to generate rotating resistance to the rotational shaft, and a latching device latched to the rotational shaft and the door so as to allow the door and the rotational shaft to rotate together in a predetermined region. The latching device includes a free rotating section enabling free rotation of the door at an initial stage of opening the door, and a latching section enabling the latching device to be latched to the rotational shaft and the door at a final stage of opening the door so as to allow the door and the rotational shaft to rotate together. With the door damper, the door of electronic appliances can be smoothly opened without impact, and can be easily closed.

An oven having a partition unit to partition a cooking space into a plurality of independent cooking chambers wherein the partition unit has a heat-insulating structure to prevent heat transfer between the respective cooking chambers. The oven comprises a cabinet, a door to open and close an opened front surface of the cabinet, a partition unit to partition the interior of the cabinet into a plurality of independent cooking chambers, and electric heaters mounted in the cooking chambers. The partition unit includes first and second heat-insulating layers opposite to each other and an air layer disposed between the first and second heat-insulating layers. An inlet and an outlet are formed at the air layer, and a blowing fan is mounted at the inlet. Bent guide members are disposed in the air layer to guide air such that the air uniformly flows throughout the air layer.

Oven

A cooking device is provided which blows most of the air blown from a circulation fan in a heater room to a heater, such that the heating of air by the heater is facilitated and the volume of the rear side of a heater case is reduced to permit manufacture of the cooking device in a small size. The cooking device includes a heater case provided to form a heater room in an inner case, a circulation fan installed in the heater room, a heater installed outside of the circulation fan in the heater room, a motor mounted outside the heater case and driving the circulation fan, and a first sunken part formed such that a portion of the heater case, on which the motor is mounted, is sunken inward with respect to the heater room by a predetermined depth.

Cooking device

An oven capable of preventing heat transfer from one cooking space having relatively high temperature to another cooking space having relatively low temperature along each side plate of a cooking chamber having a plurality of partitioned cooking spaces. The oven includes an insulating unit and a cooling unit mounted at each side plate to prevent heat transfer between first and second cooking spaces along each side plate. The insulating unit includes a slit formed right under the partition, an insulating member fitted in the slit, and a supporting member attached to the inside of each side plate. The cooling unit includes an air guide member attached to the outside of each side plate to cover the insulating member, and a blowing fan connected to the air guide member to forcibly blow outside air to the air guide member.

An electric oven includes a partition member to partition a cooking chamber into two cooking regions. The partition member for use in the electric oven includes an insulating board interposed between upper and lower plates of the partition member, and a shock-absorbing unit to prevent damage to the insulating board. Using the electric oven configured as stated above, it is possible to intercept heat transfer between the partitioned respective cooking regions, thereby preventing heat loss between the respective cooking regions and damage to the interior of the partition member.

Cooking chamber partition member and electric oven having the same

A microwave oven including a cabinet defining a cooking chamber therein, and a door coupled to the cabinet to open and close the cooking chamber. The door includes a door frame forming an appearance of the door, a shielding plate installed in the door frame to prevent high-frequency electromagnetic waves from radiating from a small gap between the door and the cabinet, a choke member provided at a peripheral edge of the shielding plate and having a high-frequency choke groove, a cover to cover the high-frequency choke groove, and a retaining member provided at the cover to elastically support the choke member. When the cover is attached to the choke member, an end of the choke member is supported on an inner rib section of the cover via the retaining member, thus reducing deformation of the choke member.

Microwave oven

A weight detecting device for microwave ovens is used to detect a weight of food placed on an exterior casing to minimize a space to install a weight sensor and to prevent heat from being transmitted from an interior casing through a top plate of the interior casing to the weight sensor. The weight detecting device includes a weight detecting unit and a support unit. The weight detecting unit is supported at an end thereof, and detects a weight according to a force applied to a free end thereof. The support unit supports the weight detecting unit at a position spaced apart from a top plate of an interior casing of a microwave oven.

Weight detecting device for microwave ovens

A microwave oven includes a control panel having a panel casing, a membrane board, and a cover sheet. The membrane board is mounted to a front surface of the panel casing. A membrane board seat is formed at a predetermined area of the front surface of the panel casing so as to seat the membrane board. The control panel further includes an air discharging channel which is provided on the membrane board seat, and discharges air existing between the membrane board seat and the membrane board. The air discharging channel may extend to a cover sheet-panel casing interface. Accordingly, air existing between the panel casing, the membrane board and the cover sheet is discharged to the outside as the panel casing, the membrane board and the cover sheet are attached to each other.

A microwave oven is adapted to hingeably couple a door to an oven body, while preventing microwaves from leaking between a door frame and a shield plate included in the door. The microwave oven includes a door hinge bracket having a pair of door-side hinge members and a connecting member adapted to connect the door-side hinge members such they have an integral structure. At a front surface portion thereof, on which the door hinge bracket is fitted, the shield plate is provided with a stepped portion for receiving a portion of the door hinge bracket.
