A display device includes: a display panel including pixels arranged in a matrix shape; and a source driver to apply data voltages to the pixels. The source driver includes: a shift controller to shift a sampling control signal; a latch array to sample digital video data in response to the sampling control signal shifted by the shift controller; a digital-to-analog converter array to convert the digital video data from the latch array into data voltages by decoding the digital video data and combination-outputting gamma compensation voltages on the basis of a gray value of the decoded data; an output buffer array to output the data voltages from the digital-to-analog converter array; and a bias controller to adjust a bias current, which is applied to the output buffer array, according to delay and stable intervals of the data voltage.

Source driver, display device with the same and driving method thereof

An organic light emitting display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels having an organic light emitting diode and a pixel circuit; a gate driver to supply the plurality of pixels with a scan signal, a sensing signal, and a driving voltage; a data driver to supply data voltages and a reference voltage to the plurality of pixels in a driving mode, and sense voltages charged into the plurality of pixels in a sensing mode; a discharging driving unit to initialize voltages of a plurality of sensing power lines when the display device switches from the driving mode to the sensing mode; a timing controller to control the gate driver, the data driver, and the discharging driving unit to operate in and switch between the driving mode and the sensing mode; and a memory to store compensation data for the plurality of pixels.

Organic light emitting display device and method for driving the same

A display device is disclosed which includes: a control substrate configured to include a timing controller; a data connector configured to transfer signal from the control substrate to a display panel; a data driver mounted to the data connector; at least one outer connector disposed by at least one of both sides of the data connector and loaded with a driver chip, wherein the driver chip and the data driver are loaded on the outer connector and the data connector using the same bonding system, respectively.

A display device is disclosed. The device includes: a timing controller configured to derive data signals for a display panel from external signals; a date driver configured to derive data voltages from the data signals and apply the data voltage to data lines on the display panel; a gamma IC (integrated circuit) chip configured to apply gamma voltages to the data driver; a power supply IC chip configured to apply a most significant voltage to the data driver; a DAC (digital-to-analog converter) configured to receive the gamma voltages and the most significant voltage from the gamma IC chip and the power supply IC chip and generate the data voltages opposite to the data signals; and a power supply unit configured to convert the gamma voltages and the most significant voltage using the data signals and apply the converted voltages to the DAC.

Display device and method driving the same

A display device, such as a OLED device, and a method of driving the OLED device. The display device includes a gamma voltage generator that generates sequentially decreasing gamma voltages based on sequentially decreasing reference voltages. A data driver selects a gamma voltage from the gamma voltages for driving a pixel based on digital data indicative of a gray scale level for the pixel. In one embodiment the gamma voltage generator includes a resistor string and an input tab that is electrically isolated from the resistor string.

Method for driving organic light emitting display device with a gamma voltage generator

An OLED device is disclosed. The OLED device disposes a voltage divider and a switch unit in the output stage of a power supplier, thereby lowering the level of a supply voltage VDD, which is applied to a driver IC in an emission interval, below that of the supply voltage which is applied to the driver IC in a non-emission interval. Accordingly, the OLED device can reduce electric power consumption.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for supplying power source for providing certain voltage to a first display device and a second display device. The apparatus for supplying power source includes a boosting circuit, a boosted voltage detecting circuit and an output selecting circuit. The boosting circuit boosts a battery voltage. The boosted voltage detecting circuit detects the boosted battery voltage, and transmits the detection result to the boosting circuit. The output selecting circuit is coupled to the boosting circuit and the boosted voltage detecting circuit, and provides selectively the boosted battery voltage to a first display device and a second display device. The apparatus provides certain voltage to a first display device and/or a second display device, and thus the size of a dual panel apparatus employing the display devices may be reduced.

Apparatus for supplying power source

The present invention relates to an apparatus for supplying power source for providing power source to a plurality of display devices. The apparatus for supplying power source includes a boosting circuit and a voltage adjusting circuit. The boosting circuit boosts a battery voltage to a first voltage, and supplies the first voltage to a first display device. The voltage adjusting circuit adjusts the first voltage to a second voltage, and supplies the second voltage to a second display device. The apparatus supplies a voltage outputted from a boosting circuit to a first display device, downs the voltage through a voltage adjusting circuit, and then supplies the downed voltage to a second display device. In other words, the apparatus of the present invention may provide voltages having different magnitude to a plurality of display devices, respectively.

In light emitting panel, the light emitting panel includes a substrate, a pixel part and a protection part. The pixel part has more than or equal to two unit parts separated from each other. The protection has a concave part marking off neighboring unit parts.
